[[Hehe. Let the games[or should I say stories?] begin.]]
Returning borrowed items was normally not one of those more favorable tasks, for it took time and that meant you couldn't use said item anymore. However, when that item was a CD and you had burned it onto your computer, then the time came to return it. There was still the issue of time, but when the person who owned the item lived right next door, what else could you use an excuse not to go over? Then again, Starr had no problem with going to visit Jordan, never would, and never had. In fact, she quite enjoyed seeing him. So, she opened the garage door, pulled on a plain black pair of flip flops and left with the CD. There was only a few feet until she was on the Anderson household's property.
She crossed the threshold from her yard to his and was soon on his driveway, her shoes making that tell-tale sound that signified someone coming. She had no clue if Jordan was even home or not. Starr could always give the CD to his sister, maybe talk awhile, but it'd seem a little odd that she'd walk to give him the CD when she would probably see him either today or tomorrow. Well, then again, it probably wouldn't with her living next door and hardly ever having anything better to do. As she headed up the driveway, she tried to remember when she had even borrowed the CD. A week ago? Longer? It was an older Nickelback album that she had been wanting on her computer for some time, and for some reason had just not returned it yet.
Brushing some brown hair from her face, she made her way to the door and rang the doorbell. Starr honestly wouldn't mind at all if Jordan wasn't home, as his entire family was pretty cool. Not at all like some of the other people's families she had met. Sometimes, when a parent opened the door they looked irritated by the fact that you weren't psychic and hadn't known the person wasn't home already. As she waited for someone to answer the door, she began to tap the CD case on the palm of her hand, a bad habit of hers when she had something in a general quadrilateral shape in her hands and nothing to do but wait.

((oh yes, let the stories begin))
Ashley had been thinking about going upstairs and jumping on Jordan's bed until he woke up. But it just seemed too cruel when he'd been up late since their younger cousins would not go to sleep. It had been funny watching him try and control them but at the same time she felt sorry for him. Since he'd had to take them to the petting zoo and there they'd wanted to go to the bird exhibit. Even though they knew that her brother was afraid of birds so badly that he'd ran away from them on several occasions. She'd swore not to tell but if the right person came along she would tell them the little story about that. She wondered if Jordan knew that after he'd passed out on the couch when he thought the six and eight year olds were asleep that they'd colored on his arm. She hadn't noticed it until they said something about it this morning and she went to go see for herself.
She knew that he probably hadn't gotten up since he'd went into his room at midnight and feel asleep. Oh well, it wouldn't be the first time that he would wake up and find out that somebody had colored on him. She herself had done that to him, of course she had been four years old at the time. Although, she had gotten Brenden and him good last year. They'd ended up falling asleep on the floor and while they were out she had painted their fingernails. She even had the pictures to prove that she'd done so. Now that was really good blackmail and the next time that Jordan tried to get her to do something. There was no way he'd be able to find the pictures anyway, unless he wanted to go into a box of stuffed animals that contained birds. Now that was a little cruel, she did admit that. But, one couldn't take their chances with Jordan. Of course, if he really wanted them he might make Brenden go and get them. At the time she hadn't been thinking he wasn't scared of birds.
Yet, she did know what Brenden was scared of and she had a stuffed one of them in there too. It was then that she heard the doorbell ring and then took off toward the door. She had been in the laundry room trying to do her laundry. But apparently her mother had a load in so she couldn't. She then opened the door and then knew who Starr was here to see. "Jordan's not up yet, he had a rough night babysitting last night. But, he'll probably get up soon he never sleeps past ten." She said and hoped that Starr would stay. This way she'd be able to see what her cousins had did to his arm and perhaps she could tell her a few stories to pass the time. There were lots of embarrassing times that included Jordan. Not to mention a few of them had been caught on tape.

The door opened abruptly, revealing Jordan's little sister, Ashley. Before she even had time to think or say anything, Ashley answered her question. Was Starr really that predictable? Probably so, but then again why else would she come over? She nodded, debating whether to stay and hang out a bit with Ashley until he woke up or to just give him the CD later. Ah, ten o'clock wasn't far off and it would be interesting to hear about this "rough night" Jordan had. Ashley was always fun to be around anyways, as she always had a different perspective of Jordan's day. It must have been a little sister thing, but personally Starr found it hilarious.
"Uh huh. Well, mind if I come in? I have something I need to talk to him about." She asked smiling, already knowing the answer to it. Ashley wouldn't mind at all, or at least she normally didn't. Though, Starr didn't know why she had said she had something to talk to him about. There was nothing of importance really, other than finding Brenden but she had decided it was a 'don't ask, don't tell' situation. Brenden seemed to be doing fine, so there was no need to talk with Jordan about him. Why was she looking for an excuse to go in and wait till he woke up? She didn't need one, but then why did she feel like she did? Was she trying to find a reason to allow herself to stay?
She mentally told herself that was a no and she knew it. Then, she realized that she was still standing at the door and held up the CD case that belonged to Jordan. "Besides, I'm sure Jordan would be happy to know that I'm bringing back that CD I borrowed a millinia ago." She joked, grinning at the younger girl. Jordan sometimes made Ashley out to be the terrible little sister who plays practical jokes, but didn't most siblings talk about the other that way? She wasn't entirely used to having a sibling yet, and Alexa was more a friend than a little sister. After all, they were only a year apart and hadn't grown up together.

Well, if there was something she needed to talk to him about she could definitely come in. She wouldn't want to keep her from discussing something important with him. Although she knew from experience that if you wanted to really talk with him, that you'd have to wait until he was fully awake. But he was a morning person, unlike her of course he got up at five in the morning to go out running. "Of course you can come in, nobody else is home anyway. While you wait I probably could think up a few stories about certain things he probably hasn't told you about. But first, I probably could recap what happened last night." She said and smiled, a lot had went on last night. But she wished that her other younger cousins came up who were girls so that she could have watched Jordan be forced to play with Barbies. That would have been great to watch but perhaps the next time he needed something from her she'd make him play with dolls.
She then stepped aside so that Starr could enter the house. "I'll even let you look at all the pictures that are in the house. The last time you were over Jordan was conveniently standing in front of some really embarrassing pictures." She said and knew that if Jordan found out what she was planning on telling her and letting her look at that he probably would be mad at her. He probably would end up chasing her around the house. Although he didn't like the attic so maybe she could go up there. She didn't blame him for not liking the attic though since last year a bat had gotten up there and when he'd went to open the door it had flown right at him. By the way he had screamed she had thought he'd found a dead body up there. A bat wasn't even a bird though, maybe he was afraid of everything with wings.
"He probably would be happy that you were bringing it back. But he most likely forgot that you even had it. Since my dads been making him work a lot the past two weeks. You're lucky though since for the next to weeks he hardly has to work at all." She said and then watched as Lucky ran up to her. The Labrador must have just came down from Jordan's room since when she'd checked to see if he was still sleeping the dog was curled up next to him. According to Jordan he didn't like the dog sleeping on his bed but he never kicked the dog off of it. "Don't feel bad about not returning it, I had that CD for about a month before I returned it."

Starr grinned at Ashley, having known the girl would be full of stories to tell a little too eagerly to her. Though Starr certainly would never ask to hear any of these embarassing yet hilarious recounts of Jordan's various adventures, she would never deny Ashley the pleasure of telling them. Besides, she was very interested to find out what was so rough about last night's babysitting job. If Jordan was still dead asleep then it had to be something horrid. "You do know when he finds out that you tell me all this stuff that he'll kill you, right? I can't act surprised when he does tell me these things forever, you know. Frankly I'm surprised he even believes me now." She told her, still wondering how she got by Jordan with these things. She had never thought herself to be a good actress, and when she played dumb they only believed her because they thought her to be way too honest to play dumb.
She stepped inside, taking her shoes off so as not to track dirt through their home. Starr's mom always had a fit whenever anybody did that in their's and Starr had just learned to do it in the homes of others. She didn't even have to think about it anymore, just like with seatbelts. When she heard the part about embarassing pictures, she shook her head and smiled. "Now see, there's a problem with the pictures part, because Jordan and I have this condition in which we see none of the embarassing pictures of one another. It's one of those win-win situations." Starr told her, not at all surprised that she still remembered that. She had a relatively good memory with things like that.
Starr bent down to pet Lucky, scratching right behind the dog's ears. Dogs really were one of the friendliest pets to get- always so eager to please and be around people. "I think he did forget. Either that or he's just being nice by not mentioning it." Starr sincerely hoped it wasn't the latter. She hadn't meant to keep it for so long, she had specifically told Jordan that she'd only have a few days. A few days had turned into a week, a week into two. Time just seemed to multiply on her.
[[AAHHH it's HORRIBLE! I am SOOO sorry. Trying to push myself through it. Maybe that's not such a good idea.]]

Oh yes, she knew that if Jordan ever caught her that she'd be in a heck of a lot of trouble. And not just him, most likely with Brenden too. She knew that Holly wouldn't be mad at her though since she thought that the stories were funny and needed to be told to people too. "Yes, but the stories that I have been telling happened after moving here. So, he really doesn't know who's telling them. But a few of the ones that I'm going to end up telling you are from earlier, and some of them I don't remember." She said and then thought of where she could start. Well first, she'd tell her about last night and then she'd probably go into a few stories that involved birds. Or maybe she could tell her about the time he'd fallen into a huge puddle when he was six. Oh there was just so many stories she just didn't know where to start!
So that was why Jordan had been standing in front of those pictures. Well, that and the fact that they were embarrassing. At least for him anyway, she thought that the one of him in a dress when he was six was funny. He'd been so gullible back then and she knew that Mark, who was the oldest had used it to his advantage. She couldn't believe that he'd gotten Jordan to believe that rabbits came from eggs and that the dog they had at the time was really a monster. Of course, at the time that all of that had happened he'd only been four. Why couldn't she have been older so she could see him run away from the dog screaming, only to be chased by the dog who was wagging his tail because he thought it was a game. "Ok, well does that agreement include home videos?" She asked knowing that the whole dog situation was on video somewhere.
"Well, at the moment I think that he just forgot." She said and then looked around, her puppy should have been right behind her. But apparently the three month old Irish Setter puppy had been distracted by something and went to investigate. She looked down and noticed how much Lucky was wagging his tail, the dog really did like Starr. Not to mention, the dog wasn't trying to lick her to death either. "I think that Lucky's glad that you decided to stay. He gets bored when Jordan's not up tossing his ball halfway across the house." She said and then remembered the time that he'd almost broken a window because he threw the ball too hard. Maybe that was why he didn't try and get it to the other side of the house now.
She then made her way over to the living room and then sat down in a chair that wasn't covered with toys. Her cousins hadn't left yet, but her parents had decided to take them to the park. Seeing as Jordan was still passed out in his room. "Well, I guess that I could start with what happened last night. Trust me, it wasn't very pretty." She said and then wondered just how much Jordan would freak out once he realized his arm had been used as a canvas.

[[this is going to be hilarious.]]
Well, at least Ashley was being smart as far as telling all the stories of the embarassing adventures of the younger Jordan Anderson went. Knowing herself, Starr probably would have told the funnier ones from when someone was younger, therefore making the only possibility of the story teller being her. Sometimes she was an idiot like that, and she would always be the first to admit to it. Still, she didn't want Jordan upset with Ashley because she hadn't refused to hear the stories. Oh well...she was sure Alexa would tell Jordan a ton that she'd heard if they were left alone. Besides, it was another 'don't ask, don't tell' situation. If Jordan never asked or brought them up, why did she have to?
"Alright, well what he doesn't know won't hurt him." She said with a grin, knowing that she was keeping more than these stories from him. He didn't know about the accident, or about her feelings, but she'd prefer to keep the latter a secret for now. Starr had witnessed too many friendships bite the dust because one thought they felt more. The original thought in hearing these stories was that it would help get her feelings back to that of only a friend, but it had done the opposite. What had started out as a simple crush had turned into something far more complicated than she had foreseen. She thought back to the agreement they had made, wondering if that did include home videos. "I'm pretty sure it did. Not 100% sure, but yeah, I think so."
The agreement had covered most everything that they could possibly have thought up at the time. Both were overly eager to keep each other out of their old, embarassing memories that they would rather keep locked away in some chest no one would ever find. Well, Starr knew that if it was possible to lock away the pictures and home videos and stories her mother would tell, then she would in a heartbeat. The CD came up again, and Ashley reassured her that she thought he had forgot. Starr did hope so, because she hoped he knew that he could have asked for it back if he wanted to. It was, after all, his CD, and she had kept it way too long. She smiled at the dog, ruffling the fur on the top of his head one last time before standing up straight again. "Aw, well, boredom is no fun, so I'm happy to help."
Starr followed Ashley, somehow managing to find a spot that was seemingly untouched by sticky fingers and crayons. She had heard stories about their cousins from Jordan and how difficult to handle they could be, and so she was not surprised to see the living room in such a state of disarray. Hearing Ashley, Starr made a face similar to that of a wince. Judging from the state of things, it had to have been one heck of a night. Poor Jordan. "I'm frankly a little surprised they didn't manage to color all over something. Last time I babysat kids around your cousins' ages, they managed to get ahold of my purse and, well, let's just say it has a whole new color scheme." She laughed, knowing Ashley would understand the importance of the color scheme of a purse more than Jordan would.

Well, now that she really thought of it she might as well start with one that was rather funny but she might end up forgetting it if she didn't tell it right away. "Well, this first one is from last year. My dad asked him to go up in the attic and get something for him. So, he walks up to the attic door and opens it. The next thing I know I hear this high pitched scream that you would have thought came from me and all of a sudden there's a bat flying around the house and I run up to the attic to ask what happened and there Jordan is cowering behind some boxes. It flew right at him and he just dover behind them." She said and could still remember hearing that high pitched scream, and after that she'd only heard it once more and well, she'd get to that story. She stopped for a moment to allow Starr to laugh but she also wanted to make sure she didn't hear Jordan moving around.
After she was sure that it was safe to continue she decided to be bold and tell her about one that happened when he was six. "Ok, well since it includes videos then I guess that I'll just have to tell you this next story instead of showing you it. When Jordan was four he was really gullible and I mean really gullible. I wouldn't know but that's what I've been told. He was convinced to believe that bunnies came from eggs." She said before having to stop because she needed to laugh. If only Jordan had believed that for a little bit longer so that she could be around to see him get really confused on Easter. "Well anyway, my other older brother who I don't think you've met yet convinced him that the dog that we had at the time was really a monster. So the next time Jordan saw him he ran around screaming. And the dog just runs after him wagging it's tail, we've got it on video." She said and once again had to contain her laughter, she loved that video but she could only watch it when nobody else was around.
Oh but they did manage to color all over something, her brother's arm. A smile appeared on her face as she wondered how long it wold be before Jordan woke up and discovered what had happened to him. "Oh but they did manage to color all over something, Jordan's arm. They colored on it in washable marker, I think. You'll know when he wakes up because he'll probably yell my name and come down here to ask what happened." She said and then realized that she might as well start from the beginning now. After all she didn't want Starr to get confused about things, especially when this story was a funny one and not to mention it was recent. "Well, I might as well start from the beginning. Yesterday, the cousins came up as you already know. They wanted to go to the zoo so Jordan took them there. Everything would have been fine if they hadn't wanted to go into the petting zoo where a turkey was. You know how scared Jordan is of birds and when it came at him he grabbed the kids hands and took them to another spot." She said before stopping so that she could listen to see if Jordan was coming, but he wasn't. She really did feel sorry for him after all that happened yesterday.
"They beg him to go to the bird exhibit, and he gives since he knew they were on the verge of a tantrum. But the whole time they were they he kept his eyes on the ground and he was really jumpy. You know when he's nervous because there's just something different about him that I can't put my finger on at the moment." She said and then looked over at one of the pictures that included Jordan in it. She found it really hard to believe that he could be so afraid of birds but she'd seen how scared he got and knew there was no way he could fake something like that. Like he would want to fake a fear anyway. "Then when he brings them home they just take off around the house and they're this way until they finally fall asleep. Or at least that was what Jordan though so he passed out on the couch. I guess they woke up and colored on him then and around midnight he drags himself upstairs to his room. And is so tired that he doesn't even notice what was done to his arm." She said and then waited for Starr's reaction knowing that she couldn't just go right into another story.
