[♥]DREAM OF ME SOFTLY.
Now I know that Jack is kind of annoying sometimes, with her talking non-stop, and constantly being so gosh darn perky about EVERYTHING and always wanting to make plans with people, but was she SO annoying that no one would sit next to her during lunch? Did she smell horrible or something? I mean, she helped clean up her entire house with the help of her older brother and dad, which WAS a lot of work, but she had taken about two showers since then. Jack really didn't know what was so hard about making friends around here.. She almost felt like crying, but she didn't want to have puffy gross eyes for the rest of the day. Jack walked through the lunch line, getting a chocolate chip cookie, a vitamin water [bad combination, trust me] and a dress! Just kidding.. She got a grilled cheese sandwhich instead. Paying the lunch lady with 2 dollars and a smile, she walked towards the sitting area. Now who to sit with today.. The little group of girl she sat with yesterday were kind of cool, but they only asked her for her name. That was all. What kind of blooming friendship is that, huh? How about the football team, they seemed to think she was okay.. But she didn't want to blend in with the guys like she always did. She wanted to have a mixture of friends, maybe one football player and one person who started off knowing her name and grew on it .. And I think I'm rambling. After three minutes of standing in the same exact place in the cafeteria, Jack sighed quietly and sat in the corner by the bathroom- It was the only place that was left, after all. The cafeteria was SO crowded that day for some reason..
Every two minutes someone would walk past her in annoying heels, or tripping over their own feet, or talking loudly to a few girlfriends... And every like, two seconds, a toilet would flush nearby. Who wants to hear a toilet flushing when they're eating a cookie, huh? Who wants to be taking their first bite of their sandwhich and hearing someone taking a whiz, hm? And who in their right mind wants to hear about how Charles dumped them as they were trying to drink their discusting vitamin water?! So Jack had to focus on her food, or one of the things she did when she got really bored. She began to people-watch her peers around her. One girl who was sitting maybe five feet away from her had this weird habit of examining her food for exactly 10 seconds before biting into it. Every bit of food, none of it would go in unless it had been examined for 10 seconds.. Now what she was looking for, we'll never know. Nevertheless.. And there was this one kid who had put his gum behind his ear, and he forgot where he had put it after he ate his cookie. So Jack watched him ask his clueless friends where his gum had went, wasting a bunch of time he could have spent just getting a new piece of gum. Then there was the poor girl who was asking a bunch of people for 25 cents-- Jack only knew this because the girl talked really loud-- but no one around her seemed to have any. Jack felt like standing up and chucking a quarter at the girl just to make her shut up.. But instead she dug around in her purse until she found a quarter, and then threw it as hard as she count towards the girls feet.
One of her friends.. or people she was badgering for cash, depending on how you look at it, saw something shiny fall to the floor and tapped the girl. Wow that sounded wrong. Anyways, the girl bent down to pick up the quarter and looked extremely relieved, as did the people around her. Jack loved doing things like that and seeing the reaction to the people. She wondered if anyone did that type of stuff for a living.. But how would you pay someone for doing good deeds? Anyways, Jack looked around for a few other people who were doing interesting things worth writing about or thinking about, but found no one else. Great. Now if only she could have a conversation with someone. Maybe if she tripped someone coming out of the bathroom they would yell at her. Or maybe she could just use her Jack-ish charm to win someone over..? Jack smiled at everyone that passed her as they went to or from the bathroom, which only made her recieve creeped out looks. Oh great, now people would think that she was like a creepy homeless person smiling at everyone for no good reason. Maybe someone would approach her if she just acted normal for once..
[♥]AND THEN YOUR DREAM WILL COME TRUE.

Kyan groaned as he walked through the lunch area, staring out into the packed tables. Dang, what the hell is going on here? He thought to himself as he stared vacantly out for a minute or so. Then he felt a hard tapping on his shoulder and he snapped out of his thoughts. "Hurry it up there, ok.!" The person behind him said and Kyan realized the big stretch of counterspace in front of him. "Sorry," He muttered, slipping ahead quietly. He grabbed a bottle of vitamin water and a small slice of pizza. He slid the hideous colored plastic tray along the metal until he reached the cashier. Digging around his pockets until he found his money, the woman at the cash register glared down at him. Under her breath he could hear her cursing about all the slow kids in line. He pulled out the money at last and moved off as the woman rolled her eyes.
Now to find a place to sit. Jessica and Jack were off somewhere else. He thought jessica was at Soccer and Jack was off at hockey or something. Balancing his tray with his left hand, he reached his right hand uup and ran his fingers through the light brown hair. He surveyed his options of tables with open seeats. Football players, no. A group of gossiping girls, hell no. He spied several other tables that he rejected and finally decided on a small table by the bathroom. It was occupied with one girl, but he hoped she wouldn't mind.
Taking the tray into both hands again, he walked over. "Hey, mind if I sit here?" He asked, unsure of her anwser, but setting his tray down anyway.

[♥]STAY WITH ME.
Seeing a tray hit the table in front of her and a boy ask her if it was okay that he sat there, Jack realized after a moment of her practically drooling that he was talking to her. She wasn't drooling because he was attractive, or because the cafeteria food was just that good, but more because she had zoned out for a second and hadn't realized that the kid was actually speaking to her. Heck, not very many people had talked to her today without having her say the first words. She was a conversation starter, that was all there was to it. "Oh sure. Sit away." Yes it's true that Jack could be a bit of a nerd at times, but she accepted it. We should all accept our inner nerd, and name it Albert! Now that that Puppet moment is over.. Jack smiled over at the guy, feeling completely giddy out of her mind. She hadn't had someone approach her and ask to sit with her in like.. A few weeks! She wasn't saying that the people at this school were rude and didn't care to sit with new kids, or that she was completely unattractive so no one wanted to sit with her, but.. Wait that is pretty much what she's thinking. "Are you one of the social rejects of today also? For some strange reason no one has talked to me in a long time, except for my teachers who seem to feel surry for me. I hate it when teachers do that- Take pity on one kid and talk to them constantly.. I mean, don't they KNOW that that's only making it harder for that kid to make friends and have an easier time being kicked out of the nest- Figuratively speaking?"
Oh yes there was one other thing that I forgot to mention about Danny Boy here. She tends to talk a lot. Just kind of say things that are on her mind.. It was almost as if she didn't have a filter between her mouth and her brain. Her brain thought of something [insert word that fits here], and her mouth just kind of voiced it. No thinking 'maybe I shouldn't say that' or 'This might give this person the wrong idea about me', it just kind of came out like word vomit. Sometimes that made Jack an easier time finding friends.. Sometimes that got her a date for next weekend, sometimes it got her threatened to be stuffed into a locker. But usually people just thought she was kidding : ) So it all worked out. Anyways, if your character sticks around long enough to have a conversation with Jack, you'll see exactly what I mean. "Oh yeah, and I'm Jack, by the way. Like Jack and Jill, or jackass, or 'I'm gonna jack you up, punk' or jackhammer.. I have more, but I might be creeping you out by listing all of them." Jack was use to being made fun of, namewise. She had been called jackass and jackhammer and Jack and Jill and all the other good [and bad. and stupid.] names back in elementary school and junior high. Because of this, now every time she introduced herself to people, she began naming off the list of the names she had been called when she was younger. Just to let the people know that if they wanted to call her one of those names, they wouldn't be one of the first. It wasn't like it offended her anymore anyways. She used to come home crying that the guy she liked had called her jackass, and wonder why people didn't seem to like her.. Arg, rambling. I'll end it nowwww.
[♥]AND WE'LL FIGURE SOMETHING OUT.

"Thanks" Kyan said as he slipped into the chair and opened up the vitamin water. He took a small sip as he listened to her talk about the teachers going on and talking to her too much. He smiled slightly, reflecting on his first few days here several years ago. Suddenly noticing she had grown silent,he figured it was his turn to reply. "yeah, I guess you could call me that. Well, atleast for today. my friends all seemed to be busy at this exact same time, leaving me all alone." He shrugged, setting the plastic bottle down. "So I take it your new, right? Cause thats the exact same thing that happened to me when I first came here. They always think that by talking to you it helps, but realy it just makes it 10 times worse." He grinned as he ran his hand through his light brown hair. An odd habit of his. Along with his constant zoning out, which got him in quite a bit of trouble.
As once again he began to zone out he realized she had suddenly spoken again. Her name was jack, same as his brothers oddly enough. He wasn't exactly sure whether to share this with her, but that didn't really matter. because his mouth seemed to be speaking on its own."Cool, My Brothers names Jack too. My names Kyan by the way. Kyan kovak if you wanna get specific. Or as its been pronounced many times before: Keyan? Kayan? Or cayenne?" he grinned slightly at the names she spoke of. He didn't get called many names when he was littler. mainly it was just getting his name butchered by teachers. Which still happens.

[♥]HE DREAMS ABOUT HER.
It must have been good, Jack thought, to only be called the social reject for a day. I mean, at least his friends were there, they were just busy somewhere. Or maybe they had left him on purpose..? But he seemed perfectly normal to Jack, and most friends only left people who seemed like total freaks. Well moving on, I'm not calling Kyan a freak. "You're not all alone, I'm still here." Jack said in an extremely enthusiastic tone, wondering if she was TRYING to scare this poor guy away. She never tried to make people leave, even if they seemed like total twits and wouldn't do anything but make her feel smart. Although you can never hate a person for making you feel smart : ) Jack was getting ready to ask Kyan if she had a 'hey I'm new so feel free to throw me into the boys bathroom like we're two year olds again' glow about her, but decided that she hhad SAID something that gave him the impression that she was new. "Yeah I'm new.. My family and I just moved here about...." Long pause. In this long pause, Jack took a bite of her cookie, chewed it enough to swallow it and not choke, took a few swigs of her vitamin water, stared at the cieling trying to remember, and then finall spoke. "Maybe a week or two ago. But on my first day in the town I wasn't much of a social butterfly 'cos my stepmum made me do a bunch of unpacking. I guess she didn't want to have a bunch of boxes lying around the house or something." Jack shrugged and returned to her vitamin water, surprised at how good it tasted.
Most people thought that vitamin water was completely repulsive.. I mean it tastes like wattered down Gatorade, and not even THAT tastes good. But Jack had found out a lot in her life that she needed to figure things out on her own. She needed to experiment before finding her own results. I promise you I'm not trying to sound confusing, I tend to speak in metaphores. What I mean is that she didn't want to believe other people when they said that you can get salmonella if you ate an entire tube of cookie dough, she wanted to test it herself. Look it up on google, do something. And if she died from salmonella or found it online, [yes I know you can't die from salmonella.. Wait can you?] then she would know that the people were right in saying it. She wasn't one to really believe other peoples theories. Wow I'm rambling about what? Vitamin water? Cookies?
"I know!" Jack replied, shifting a little bit in her seat so she somehow ended up closer to the poor kids face. She hadn't done it on purpose, but that was just the outcome. "I mean, it's okay sometimes like in kindergarten because sometimes if just ONE person talks to the kid, it might stop them from eating glue. But when you're a new kid and you're over the age of sayyyyy 15, it's both creepy and devastating. I just hope that I'll make friends around here soon." Jack was used to having friends- I guess the people back in Arizona enjoyed crazy people like Jack- but here no one seemed to like that. The teachers even kind of seemed to dread her coming into the room, or maybe that was just her imagination. God, Jack stop being so pessimistic. Be optimistic like.. Gosh, when was the last time she was optimistic? About two days before they moved to the new city. Jack would bounce back. She had already started talking to one guy : )
"Well your brother is considered normal for being named Jack" Jack replied [wow that sounded weird] laughing a little and putting the top on her vitamin water. "But maybe we'll end up meeting someday. 'Hey my name's Jack, what's yours' 'Oh are you kidding me? Me too! We should completely get married and see how many people get scared at seeing our marrige certificate' 'Yes we should.. The marriage of Jack and Jack. The gay couple. Very nice'." Oh Lord, please stop me now. See, this is what happens when there is cake nearby and I'm sitting at a keyboard. Things tend to come out.. "Cayenne." Jack repeated, laughing a bit harder this time. "How horrible some people did with saying kids' names. At least if you had an original name like Jessica or Cansas or something, no one screwed it up. But add a silent letter to the beginning of a name or something, and you have absolute chaos. " It was true, after all. Jack hadn't had problems with the saying of her name, but the teachers had given her odd looks when she responded to Jack. The elementary teachers thought that she was just trying to be funny. Like, she was the friend of Jack who just happened to be absent, so she would respond FOR him.. I don't know. Mer.
[♥]AND THE LIFE TO COME SOON ON.
