Character Information:
Character's Name: Brad Sanders
Age: 17
Grade: 12
Height: 5'11
Hair color: Brown
Eye color: Brown
Other Family Members: Jason(brother, 20), Alex(brother,15), Jessica(mother,43), Larry(father, 42)
Personality:There are three words which could totally describe Brad's personality. They are, trusting, nice and determined. He doesn't give up if something is hard, he just tries harder and if something isn't working then he tries another idea. Since he enjoys crowds and meeting new people you will usually find him in the middle of things. Sometimes he'll even get to school early just so he can talk to people. Since he hates being alone you'll almost never find him all by himself. He could be considered bold since he doesn't bat an eye when he's doing things that people consider dangerous. If somebody gives him a challenge he will usually take it on and try his best to exceed their expectations. Yet he does have his moments of depression, most of the time it occurs when somebody brings up one of the bad parts of his life. But still if somebody asks him a question about things he would rather not talk about he'll give them the answer. If they try and press him for more information then he will change the subject or walk away if he is irritated enough.
Appearance: A few scars mar his upper back and shoulders from a car accident a year ago. That's why he usually wears plain colored t shirts that don't go really far down since he doesn't like showing them. Although he is average size from exercising a lot he doesn't have an eating disorder. Also from exercising his is fairly muscular but not like a bodybuilder would be.
As far as arms and legs go they are around medium sized in length. Feet are a completely different matter though, his feet are really tiny like his hands are. The skin tone on him is in between a medium to dark tan depending on the season. There is a slight tan line where his watch is,and where most of the t shirts cut off also. He is somewhat of a plain person since his fashion sense is somewhat inexistent. So most of the time you will find him in t shirts and blue jeans and a random baseball cap which seems to change with each day of the week. Though he does get the whole, you have to dress up thing when going somewhere important or where other people are dressed up somewhat and 95% of the time he obeys it.
History: He has been riding with a western saddle since he was about four years old. His parents owned a ranch in Wyoming so he was constantly riding out to see how the cattle were. Thus, he has excelled in cutting, western pleasure, and barrel racing although he does know a good deal about other western events. He did play other things such as football and basketball, which he still does today. Ever since he was little his parents have been making him compete in shows. Sports, ranch work, school and competing used to be his life. People always told his parents that if they pushed him too hard that he would just burn out. Which happened a few years ago when competitions just were not fun anymore. He took a few months off, even though is parents didn't like the idea. During those few months he just spent time riding for fun again and soon he was back to the shows.
It was after this that his parents bought him Shadow, the hose was a powerful grey gelding. The two instantly formed a bond and their partnership helped them continue being strong competitors who did have their fair share of wins. It was either win, or be forced to practice a lot more. He couldn't believe how much his father pushed him, since he never pushed his older brother Jason as much as he was pushing him. Of course, people told him that he had better horse skills then Jason did. Everything was going fine until a year ago, it was a rainy day at the ranch and he had to help round up some cattle that had escaped. All of a sudden he just felt Shadow go down, he managed to jump free. But Shadow had broken his leg, he was taken to the vets and they tried to save him but in the end the horse was put down. This shocked him, his partner and friend was gone. He went into a depressed state and turned away from everything.
Just a few weeks later he was involved in a horrific car accident when a car smashed into the passenger side door of the new car that he had just bought a few weeks before. Glass flew everywhere and that is how he got the scars, not only physical ones but mental ones as well. After the accident he did not drive for a long time. Also nightmares about the accident do occur sometimes and he ends up waking up in a cold sweat. After this his parents bought him Spirit, the lively Quarter Horse made him realize how much he loved horses. Then, a few weeks ago his parents informed him that they were moving to Wisconsin of all places.
