[Everything you say to me] [Takes me one step closer to the edge] [And I'm about to break]
The music throbbed through the floor and sent tremors racing up the street. The pounding beat was muffled slightly by the heavy closed doors, and only the bass was distinguishable. Occasionally someone would exit or enter the club, and when the doors were open, the music blasted out at obscene levels, then were once again cloaked as the doors shut. Bright strobe lights were sometimes visible through the crack under the door, and there was only a small queue of dolled-up teens waiting outside, prevented from their fun by the serious-looking bouncer sturdily planted in front of The Red Sunset.
Casper Rennington pondered vaguely about the night ahead as he slumped against the wall on the street. The disdainful looks of passersby slid right off him, as personally he couldn't be arsed getting up and standing in line. Tonight he had put a little more effort than usual in his outfit; it was still the same, just with a little more flair. His standard black skinny-leg jeans were belted tightly around his skinny, emorexic waist (one that most females would die for; he never had a big appetite) with a pyramid-studded belt. A pair of black Converse were tied tightly on his feet, and his black hair was in its usual endearing, bedhead style, though this time there was evidence of brushing. His shirt was a tightish one, sporting The Misfits' logo. On one hand was a black-and-white striped glove, and he was wearing eyeliner. It was a usual, run-of-the-mill emo outfit, though Casper personally didn't really label himself, or anyone, for that matter. He didn't care enough, and he usually just pulled the first thing out of his closet that he could find. He let those losers who insisted on stereotyping him call him what they wanted - their words meant nothing to him, and he had become numb to taunting many years ago.
There was a drink in his hand already, and he took a sip thoughtfully. Just a cheap beer, nothing fancy. That would come later, when Jac arrived. The two best friends had planned their drunken night a few days ago, and the thought of it had kept Casper sane. He had gotten a call from his father's jail a few days ago, informing him that Jason Rennington had requested Casper come visit him, and that thought alone had Casper staring longingly at a butcher's knife. But no. He had turned away, for the umpteenth time, just barely escaping the brink of suicide. The only thing that kept him here, alive, and continuing his miserable existence, was the girl who was currently FIFTEEN MINUTES LATE. Jak Lane.
Now, before you get any thoughts about these two, Casper did indeed love Jac, but as a friend only. He had grown up with the crazy bitch, and he lived for her. Literally. She had caught him many times with a noose around his neck, and she had saved his ass more times than he could count. He owed it to her to keep living, and living he did. Not as fun as other people's lives, but Jac brightened up his existence. Without her, the world would have been rid of Casper Rennington a looooong time ago.
The skinny boy took another sip of his drink, feeling sad when he realised he was nearing the bottom of the bottle. Poop. He glanced hopefully down the street for her familiar figure, and sank back into his thoughts when he didn't see it.
Better give it another few minutes.
[I need a little room to breathe] [Cause I'm one step closer to the edge] [And I'm about to break]

•I'm an addict for dramatics•
Crystals sought him out thought her mind was elsewhere. She had her phone to her eat almost like the two were conjoined, it was rather amazing actually, the fact that, that thing was stuck to her war no matter what she was doing. A feat in itself but right now she was just checking him message again to make sure that she was in the right place. It wasn't Jaks fault that she comtimes didn't listen fully and ended up going to the wrong place. But it wasn't that way with Casper she never forgot what he said to her, this was just a little reminder to her and plus she loved hearing his voice.
Tonight those drainpipes that she was always seen in were nowhere to be seen, she was wearing a small skirt, red and black in color and clinging to her small lower hald. Paired with fishnet leggings she wore her small black flats with a red toe. Her top half was held a t-shirt with an 'Atreyu' logo splayed out over the chest blood dripping under the words. Hair was bed-head as usual but poofed so it didn't look so i don't care. A small red and black plaid bow adorned the left side of her head, just becuase Jak was obbsesed with them.
Light steps led noone to believe that she was coming. It was actually a great was to sneak up on people. She negotiated her was through a pack of guys, walking through the middle of the group placid look on her visage as she dug her black tipped fingers, splashed with spots of red, yellow and green, into the pockets of her skirt dragging it down slightly. Turning the corner she spotted him a few steps down and without saying aword and while he looked the other way she ran, half skipped up to him, stopping mear inches away and her tones rang out, "I didn't foget i'm just fashionably late" Black bangs flipped over her shimmering voids as she watched him, striking a post and holding it. The moon captivated her, shining from behind and creating an outline of silver. Dropping the act she was all smiles looking him up and down for Jak hadn't seen him in forever and reuniting was so great. Shifting her voids quickly, her hands went ot her pockets with lightening fast precision making sure she still had her fake id and hadn't forgot topocket it when she left her dorm this cold clear evening.
Sounds of the guys around the corner and the line of people hald out by the burly mand at the door, hired to pick out the youngins of the teens that tried to enter. The door swung open on it's creaky hinges hitting the brick wall as a drunk guy was escorted from the building and stumbled drunkenly through vile words and heaves of air out into the parking lot before disappering out toward the main road. A bouncer caught the door and slamed it behind himself huffing under his breath as he headed back in, cutting the blaring music off and leaving the few in slight silence thought he music seemed to permiate the thick walls. Jaks voids went from the commotion back to the boy that still had yet to awknowledge her very existance at this time.

[I watched his wildest dreams come true] [And not one of them involving you]
Dark optics were fixed on a dodgy-looking group of guys around his age down the street a little way. Actually, it wasn't quite fair for Casper to call them dodgy, as he was pretty dodgy himself. The boys were standing in a shifty little circle, huddled in a corner, passing around something. Casper caught a glimpse of one boy holding a little pouch to his nose and inhaling deeply. Aha. Drugs. Bit of a p.ussy way to actually TAKE the drugs, but drugs nonetheless. And drugs were something Casper hadn't had in a while. Now, he wasn't some addict or anything - only for alcohol, he was the drinker from hell - but he didn't stone on a regular basis. Well, okay, he DRANK on a regular basis, but he didn't snort. He took it when he could, but it didn't matter if he didn't.
Involved in watching the boys with interest, Casper tore his eyes away from them and took out his phone. The typical scene kid, it was a Sidekick. Activating the voicemail, he pressed the phone to his ear and waited for the annoying robotic woman to stop talking. Finally Jak's voice entered into his auds, and he split into a wide grin. The only thing that could make him smile was Jak. When the message finished, he sadly returned the phone to his pocket - a feat harder than it sounds. It included a lot of shoving to get the bulky Sidekick into his tight jeans pocket, but eventually it was crammed in. Casper rewarded himself with a swig of beer.
He was about to get up and go ask the boys if he could have a portion of their cheap drugs, when a smirking voice rang in his ear. Jumping a mile, Casper scrambled to his feet, stepping back and looking around wildly for his dad. But no. It was someone much, much, much better than his dad. Like, a whole galaxy better. It was Jak! Casper's face dropped it's frightened facade and was instantly replaced with another cheek-splitting grin.
"Oh, I'm sure. Couldn't tear yourself away from your drink, could you?"
He retorted teasingly. His own drink was finished in one last gulp, and he aimed at a nearby Dumpster and threw. It shot into it's target and a loud smashing sound was heard a split-second later. Meh. Better than smashing it on the street. Turning back to Jak, Casper ran his eyes appreciatively over her outfit before stepping forward and plucking the hem of her skirt, running it through his fingers. Dropping it, he looked at her with a mischievious grin.
"You look nice. So you ARE planning to violate me?"
He commented smirkingly. He saw her pat her pockets to check for something... undoubtedly a fake ID. Well, Casper boy was eighteen, he didn't need one. Lucky, because he most likely would've forgotten. He ran a hand through his ebonite locks, a bored gesture, though he certainly wasn't bored with Jak's appearance. He was 18, she was 16... hormone levels were at their highest. They had both had crushes on each other before, and he was pretty sure they'd kissed a couple times... but the memories were vague. Too many drinks, perhaps? But who knew what the night would eventuate in. Jak was crashing at his place, or he was crashing at her place... but if something DID happen, it probably wouldn't matter. They would both be too drunk to remember anything in the morning, because Casper for one, was planning to drink his way to hell tonight.
[I waited 8 long months, she finally set him free] [I told him I couldn't lie, he was the only one for me]

She waited upon him voids never leaving till finally he noticed his bright voids turning in her direction and showing her some interest finally. Smiling brighting, the grin that split her visage was that of one shrouded in mystery and suspense. She didn't feel like she had to reviel they reason to her fashionable lateness, because he may find out later when she got so drunk that she could barely walk much less think about what she wanted to say before letting it escape her tones. Tilting her head she shrugged her thin shoulders the single string of black beads that hung around her neck knotting together before her and hanging down her chest. Giggling she looked past Casper and laughed shaking her head to see the guys and their drugs. The group she had walked through before she had spotted Casper, they were rather entertaining now, passing the paper around as they all to a deep snort. Glancing back to him she caught him in time to hear the ear splitting crash of the bottle upon the hard rusted metal edge of the dumpster. She laughed, breaking things was so much fun and if it had been Jak she would be tossing it on the road and watching it splatter sending shining shards of glass flying. Feeling his hand on the hem of her skirt as it slightly brushed her leg she jumped and felt the goosbumps trying to hide them as she glancing over at him to see a thread from her skirt in his thin fingers. She giggled hearing his words and than tilted her head as if thinking about what to say, when as a matter a fact she knew what she was saying, "Keep don't that and you'll be the one taking advantage of me"She said with a wink of her pale shining voids and let her hand slip into his putting it over her shoulder and walking off toward the entrance to the club. She took a position at the end of the line which amazingly for this night wasn't that long which rather amazed her. Glancing back toward Capser she wanted to catch the reaction that he offered to her as she winked at him and slipped her fingers toward his leading him off to the line. She found it fun to flirt with him, it was just great to watch his reaction to it all, sometimes he knew what to say and others she found his oblivious to what was happening just playing along with it.

[You're just the girl all the boys want to dance with] [And I'm just a boy who's had too many chances]
Casper narrowed his eyes as Jak seemingly smiled to herself when he mentioned a plausible reason for her so-called 'fashionable lateness'. Sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll? It certainly wasn't out of Jak's style. The boy knew his best friend had connections, not always safe ones, but he knew Jak could take care of herself. But is it WAS one of those reasons - especially the first one - someone was going to get hurt. Casper felt a certain responsiblity for Jak, being two years older than her. So to say, he could get a little jealous at times. But, never fear. Casper would get her smashed off her face later and then he'd pry it out of her. =]
Feeling a slight tremour run up Jak's slender leg as his fingers gently grazed her skin, Casper smirked. He laughed a little at her comment. He reached up and tugged her chin gently. There was a strange glint in his eyes as he spoke his next words, though he didn't let anything away.
"Are you offering, my dear? Well, well, well. The tables have turned. I'll just have to get you smashed, then, won't I? Then I can do whatever I want to you and you won't remember a thing."
His tone was teasing and he laughed afterward. It was quite a big amount of words from Casper, actually. So he shut up and instead looked toward the boys again. The guard was giving them funny looks, so the boys shiftily moved away. Casper was disappointed. No more entertainment? Well, that sucked. But he wasn't saddened for too long, because soon a group of about four or five girls replaced them, standing around and drinking and laughing. Each girl was dressed in strategically-ripped fishnet stockings and short dresses, with high boots. Teased and coloured hair and wild make-up adorned each pretty little doll. Casper studied them with interest. Hmm...
He was interrupted when Jak caught his attention again by pulling his arm around her shoulders and walking towards the short line. He glanced at her but didn't object, and stood beside her obediently, dark voids once again trained on the girls. Two more had joined them, and all together it was quite a nice sight for his eyes. He saw many other males glancing at the girls. Undoubtedly dirty thoughts galore. He felt his arm slip from Jak's shoulder, and his hand was quickly caught in hers. He took no notice of this; in fact, didn't even realise as his own slender fingers tangled easily with hers. It was his mindset, I suppose. Usually he would smirk and make a comment about how Jak was trying to get into his pants, or vice versa. But now his brain hadn't even registered her flirtations. Not that he really minded, of course. ;]
A few more people were let inside the club and soon Casper and Jak were only two people away from the guard. Casper finally snapped to attention and saw that Jak's hand was clasped in his own. He looked at her with surprise, a look that was quickly replaced with a smirk. Ah, here it came...
"You know, my pretty, you could just ASK if you wanted to get into my pants. Is there something else you want to hold?"
Ah, yep. The inescapable 'Jak-wants-in-my-paaaannnttsss' joke. It came every time. He laughed. Geez, she sure was pressing his laugh button tonight, wasn't she? He leaned closer to her when suddenly the people in front of them went inside. The guard stared at them expectantly. Casper dug into his jeans and pulled out his own [REAL] ID and flashed it. The guard nodded brusquely and looked at Jak. Casper took the liberty and shoved his hand unceremoniously into her pocket and pulled out her fake ID. Holding it up, he smiled sweetly while the guard checked it closely. He must have been blind - either that or stupid - because he nodded to them both. Casper walked forward and yanked Jak behind him. When she came to his side, he smirked at her again and slowly put his hand inside her pocket, letting the card fall into it's place before he withdrew his hand several moments later.
This would be a fun night.
[So say, "What are you waiting for? Kiss her! Kiss her!"] [I set my clocks early 'cause I know I'm always late]
[OOC: These two give me so much muse. =] *huggles*

Voids wandered to him as she watched his reaction from her no answer to the comment that she hadn't made about being late to him. It wasn't her fault that she had been doing things that may make him jelous but he didn't like her in that way ans she tried to hide it by attempting to get her mind from things like that. The connections that she found herself falling into were never the greatest but isn't it just that the prettiest girls are always the ones to fall the hardest for things like that.
As the line moved so she they both, it was something monotonous that everyone did. When standing in a line you would automaticly move when everyone else moved and sometimes when they didn't aswell but that was just your mind playing awfully nasty tricks on you to begin with. Well he was now speaking of getting her smashed and than taking advantage of her. It hurt Jak to play these games with him and flirt shamelessly when she knew that she really did like him but just couldn't voice the opinion that she wanted to get across. It was hard for her to play along like it ment nothing but that was why she partied hard when he wasn't around, becuase she wanted to forget the hurt that dug deep into her like the pointed tip of a dagger, "Well i guess we are just going to have to play it out to find o......" She hadn't even finsihed her sentence when the group of guys that had occupied the corner that she came around were replaced by a bunch of 'sluts' i guess you could call them. Each wearing the least amount of clothing that was allowed by law and sporting a colorful hair design. Jak didn't bother finishing becuase she knew that Caspers eyes were on them now. Turning her visage for but a second she looked away choaking back the thoughts and feelings and putting on a placid but all to plesent look for him and than glancing back toward them befre stepping forward gently tugging at his hand.
As they moved forward in the line Jak zoned out into her own little world a place she could go and not worry about the hurt that she felt deep down inside the worry that she felt the hunger that ate away at her every second. She pushed it all away being a greatest of the greatest at lying about many things and putting on a face around people. It was so hard for her to hide it but some how whenever she was around him she just managed it.
Feeling Caspers hand into her pocket she ignored it not really feeling it as her voids remained fixated upon the brick wall that lay before her, the one that seemed to capture her thoughts and wonders into one placid pattern that never would have drawn her attention before this. The comment her spoke she responded to with a giggle looking to him and than watching back to that point and feeling her thin body wisked away into the building the tremors of sound blocking out her thoughts as she snapped back to the feeling of a hand in her pocket once agian.
Looking around as she snapped out of it she smiled to him and than felt that through that time her had lost his and now just lay limp at her side as if waiting for something to happen. Shaking her head to snap out of it her onyx tendrils fell upon her voids and she moved toward the bar. Glancing back to Casper she winked playfully and than ordered, "Straight Russian vodka, 2 shots" She smiled why not start the night off with a bang why don't we.
-Woweee had a alot of muse for that one... ya i know what you mean and i have a little plot idea i am pming it to you.-

[Is it still me that makes you sweat?] [Am I who you think about in bed]
Casper immediately felt guilty as Jak went silent and stared off into the distance. He hated it when she did that. It was like she gave up on him, and simply stood limply, waiting for him to pay attention to her. Didn't she realise that his attention was ALWAYS on her? That no matter what he did, he was always thinking about her? That when she went silent and stared off into the didstance, it practically killed him inside to know that she'd given up on him, even if was only for two minutes? He knew how she felt. He'd known it since they were six. Oh, Jak thought she was so good at hiding it under her smiles and constant partying. He not only knew that, he knew that she regularly drank and stoned when he wasn't around. Yeah, he did it too. What he didn't know, was that they both did it for the same reason; to get their mind's off each other.
As the pair entered the club, somehow their hands lost contact. Casper didn't say anything, simply put on a slight inkling of a smile and gazed with faked interest around Sunset, to make her think he hadn't realised. Pfft. Hadn't realised. His hand had gone instantly cold. He instead shoved both hands in his pockets, awkwardly curling one hand around his Sidekick, and followed her meekly to where he knew she'd go: the bar. It was where they both instantly went. He slid onto a stool next to her, listening to her order and staring at her, breaking into a smirk.
"Starting a little heavy, aren't we? Oh well. I'll take the same."
He admitted defeat. As the bartender nodded and went off to collect their drinks, Casper took his hands out of his pockets and collapsed them on the bar, laying his head on them and taking up one of his favourite pasttimes; staring at Jak. He stared at most people, a calculating look on his face, but Jak was definitely his favourite subject. His cold eyes latched onto her delicate features hungrily, although his chiseled face gave nothing away. He simply stared. The door opened and the girls from outside entered; males everywhere caught sight of them and testosterone levels rose. Casper glanced at them, noting a pretty black-haired girl. Orbs shot back to Jak, and he kept silent until their drinks came.
Seizing one of his, he downed it in an instant and curled his hand around the other, bringing it close to him and taking up where he left off. The pounding sound of music enveloped him; he felt someone sit down beside him - a female, he could tell by the weight - but still he stayed quiet. It was clear Casper had finished speaking for the night.
[When the lights are dim] [And your hands are shaking as they're sliding off your dress?]
[OOC: Not the best, but hey.]

She was that way because how could she show what she really felt for him when he didn't feel anything like that toward her. She felt unhappy that this was the way that it was going to be. She was going to be on the ouside looking in at all the people that he went out with all the partying that he did and everything in between only to think that the one that she really wanted loved her as a friend. Yes a good friend but to him it was nothing more than friendship and that was showed by the attention he put into other girls. Yes he stared at her but she also stared at him. His face told of the friendship her face stayed placid as death.
Looking around as she slid onto the seat her voids wandering the full length of the club she flipped them back to him momentarely before feeling a hand brush her back. She flipped her head around and smiled at the handsome guy that lowered himself behind her. Her voice rang out quite loudly over the music and she smiled as he asked to buy her a drink, "I already have a few coming maybe later" She said turning on the swivle and looking back toward Casper who's voids were fixated upon the girls that had arived outside and now had made their way in. She turned her head to the bar and read the chalkboard back that listed out all the name of the drinks. None of them were drinks that she had never heard of. Flipping her head back and looking at the celing she ignored it and just looked around agian.
The drinks came and before Capser had finished his she had downed both hres as fast as she could and was breathing slightly deeper from the burn of the alcohol that slid down her throat. Sighing she leaned her head back and sighed her voids watching his every move as he watched her, signaling the bar tender for two more drinks as she ordered a apple martini and wited for his order voids fixated upon him.

[Your name] [Your smile] [Your eyes]
Casper watched bemusedly as Jak snatched up both shotglasses and downed them both within an instant. His hand paused halfway back to the bartop and his mouth hung open in shock. He knew Jak was a good drinker, but two Russian vodka shots, straight up, in under a second? Holy shit. It seemed apparent that Casper had met his match. He shook his head in disbelief and set his glass back on the counter. He propped his chin in one hand and rested his elbow on the table, narrowing his eyes and staring at the chalkboard that had everything they sold written up in smudged printing. He curled his other hand around his last shot and lifted it to his lips, turning his head awkwardly to check on Jak.
His glass smacked back on the countertop and Casper was out of his chair, staring down the guy who had offered Jak a drink wih a cold glare. What a sleaze! She was only sixteen. He was just trying to get into her pants! Luckily Jak's back was to Casper, because if she'd seen him standing up with a murderous look on his face, obviously trying to scare off the guy who was hitting on her, well, let's just say Jak wouldn't take it all too well. Casper slid back into his seat when the guy left and slouched back down instantly, fixing his eyes on the board again, looking as innocent as a fairy, although he was seething inside. Overprotective, much? =/ I guess you could say that. Every boy Jak had an interest in underwent a thorough examination carried out by Casper himself. Secretly, of course, Jak wasn't allowed to know. Each boy deemed not good enough under Casper's sky-high standards. No-one ever made it through. Luckily, though, Jak never dated long. For reasons that were now abundantly clear.
Casper himself didn't date either. No, Casper just slept with people. A man-slut! xD His approach was to find a girl, drink himself stupid, sleep with her, then wake up the next morning, endure an awkward conversation, and then they would both leave and forget. It was a very simple plan of attack, and it worked well. He turned his head slightly to the left to read the other chalkboard, and caught a sheen of blue-black hair. He slid his glance over and saw the raven-haired girl staring at him. Upon seeing him looking at her, she gave a winning smile and batted her eyeliner-clad eyes. She was vereh pretty, he noticed. He smiled at her but his attention was diverted by Jak asking him what he wanted.
"Same as the lady."
He said quickly. Jak had a good taste in drinks. He would follow her lead tonight.
