The music throbbed through the floor and sent tremors racing up the street. The pounding beat was muffled slightly by the heavy closed doors, and only the bass was distinguishable. Occasionally someone would exit or enter the club, and when the doors were open, the music blasted out at obscene levels, then were once again cloaked as the doors shut. Bright strobe lights were sometimes visible through the crack under the door, and there was only a small queue of dolled-up teens waiting outside, prevented from their fun by the serious-looking bouncer sturdily planted in front of The Red Sunset.
Randi was thinking hard about the rest of the afternoon that awaited her. It WAS Friday, and no one wants to just sit around by themselves on a Friday afternoon, unless they're parents or old people. Randi wanted to go out in the town, she wanted to party! No she really didn't want to party all that much, but as she thought about it in her bored state, she figured that ANYTHING would be better than sitting there all night. So party it was! Randi walked out of her house and alllllll the way to town, being a few blocks or so from her little blue house. She felt the loud music from The Red Sunset shaking her bones, and grinned easily. She loved music, and she luuuuuuurved dancing, why not do the two together AND meet new people? Those were a few things that she really enjoyed doing, all in one little building. Still grinning her face off, Randi dashed across the street and into the building, waving at one of the security gaurds.
I guess he wasn't a club bouncer or anything, because he just waved back with a smile on his face. Either he thought that Randi was a little fifteen year old girl going into the building for a snickerdoodle and a rousing game of bingo, or the huge guy was just letting her go because she was pretty. Well either way, Randi couldn't wait to meet some people! Maybe she would meet a guy, soon to be her boyfriend. Or a wonderful girl just her age who would be her new best friend. If anything, Randi would dance like an idiot, talk to people who didn't want to talk to her, and have a wonderful time. As Randi looked around, she saw at least ten people who looked interesting enough to talk to. With a smile on her face, she went into the middle of the room where the spotlight was, and looked around at the room.

Anthony smiled to himself as he heard the blaring music. He was supposed to go to this party with a Cydney girl, but he decided not. Nope. She'd be like a ball and chain with the other ladies. He snorted as he walked, shoving his hands further into his jeans. At last, he saw the club and brightened up. Ladies, music, dancing. Perfect.
He smoothed his hair down and quickened his pace, soon arriving at the door and cutting the queueand walking right past the bouncer. He noticed a pretty girl in the middle of the floor, standing in the spotlight. She looked a little confused....
Anthony strode over to the lovely lady and began dancing. He smiled to her, flashing his pearly whites and leaned close. "You really should dance. I mean everybody's staring at you!" He smiled again, trying to charm her.

As Randi had finally seen enough of the building and was about to go and get a drink, some guy came up and started dancing next to her. Sure she had planned on dancing also, but not just randomly when no one else was dancing either. She wanted to get a drink first, catch her bearings and whatnot. Er, if that made sense. Well no matter how cute this guy might have been, cheesy pick up lines were like, a sin to Randi and she would never tollerate them.
At the same time... Well she hated to say it, but she was urging to dance. I mean, she almost never danced, and she just kind of wanted to break loose.. Well break loosER and dance! So Randi just smiled brightly, her white teeth smaller than the guys yet just as perfect, and began shaking her hips to the beat of the music. "I don't do stuff just because people are watching... And anyways I think it's just YOU whose watching." Randi replied, not trying to sound smart or anything. She kenw that she couldn't sound smart, and if she could it was only by way of not trying to sound smart. Again, if that made sense.
Well anyways, this guy might not have been the most charming yet, but maybe once he got past the pick up line flirty crap he could actually be worth talking to =). Tons of people were worth talking to once you gave them a chance.

Anthony only caught the cheesy pick-up lineyness after he'd uttered it. Whoops. Sometimes, our little star just looses it. He wished he could pick the words out of the air, stuff them back into the recesses of his mind, anything. But, like so many things in this world, he couldn't take this back. Personally, Anthony didn't like pick-up lines either. He was being particularly honest. Well, he'd get over it.
Anyways, Anthony just rocked with her, his stupid smile still in place. She spoke finally, sounding kind of smart. "Oh, well, I was watching you but so were those girls, that group of dudes, and that one lonely nerd." He pointed out each peson or group and shrugged. He shrugged. "But, if you'd like, I can get you a drink, so they'll stop staring!" He'd said the last part a little loud, and all of them looked away.

Hmm... Randi had thought that the guy had just been being nice, making up people who were supposedly staring at her when they weren't. She thought that, that is, until he pointed out a few of them. Randi didn't feel any more embarassed though, she just kept on dancing, stopping for a moment as the song changed. A drink? Well she had kind of forgotten about drinking since she had started dancing to be quite truthful. I don't know what it was with her, but sometimes it was almost like she got distracted really easily when she didn't. It was like... All of those blonde jokes and stereotypes. Or a really stupid person who was attracted to shiny keys...
And don't try to act like you don't know what keys I'm talking about! The shiny colorful ones that little kids sometimes tend to chew on when they're teathing. Ah I love those :3 Anyways.
"A drink sounds great mate!" Randi said, giggling at her extremely retarded rhyme. She hadn't meant to make it rhyme, it had just come out that way. She called her friends and people she didn't know very well mate, and a drink WOULD be great. "And tell the nerd I want his number!" She kidded, hoping to goodness that the guy wouldn't really do it. If he was like all of the other guys she had said things like that to before, he would probably walk over there and pretend that he was really doing it and then Randi would freak out. Randi freaked out sort of easily, it was all in her nature. Hey what can I say, everyone loves a freaker.. No not really.

Anthony smiled brighter as the song changed. Of course she'd want a drink. He'd pay, of course. What man wouldn't? Anyhow, Anthony smiled happily as she stopped and quirked a brow.
She spoke, at last. A rhyme? What a silly girl she was. "Well, mate, I'd be happy to buy. Oh, and that nerd's name is Jimmy. I'll go get his number for one of those popular girls over there." An evil smile crept across his soft lips as he walked over to this Jimmy character. He got his number and went over to a gorgeous blonde girl, telling her it was his number. At last, Anthony came back to Randi, his smile still in place. "Now, come on....What is your name? Mine's Anthony. But you may call me Sir Anthony The Wise and Great Bear Hunter." He kept on his serious face, staring her down.

Randi honestly hadn't meant to call the poor fella a nerd. It was just what the guy standing in front of her had referred to him to, and if Randi had called him anything otherwise, she might have confused this guy. I'm confusing myself just thinking about not confusing people. Ugh. Randi watched the guy walk around the room doing who knows what before coming over and asking for her name.
This reminds me of a Jesse McCartney song. *Begins humming 'What's Your Name' loudly* Ahem. Anyways. "The name's Randi," Randi said with a bright smile, accepting the drink and not even bothering asking about the number. She had honestly been kidding and didn't want to remind Anthony, as he had earlier called himself, about it. " Sir Anthony The Wise and Great Bear Hunter?" Randi questioned before being swallowed by a fit of laughter. It sounded so stupid that it was enough to make her laugh, good job Sir. "I wouldn't call you that if you pinned me down and tickled me until I said it." The teenager said, shaking her head and taking a sip of the drink.
Now that Randi had a drink in her hand, there was no way that she was going to dance. She wasn't usually clumsy but put a drink or a glass in her hand and it's like she looses control. So dancing AND having a drink might kind of be hazerdous to the health of poor Andrew? Anthony? Albert? Yes of course she remembered his name. Glancing around, Randi spotted a little round table with just enough space between the two chairs that the two sitting on them would bump into eachother at least sixty times a second. Oh wonnnnnderful {Sarcasm}. "Wanna sit?" Randi questioned, pointing her chin to the little round table, yet never taking her eyes off of Anthony. He was starinig her down, alright. No one ever stared her down. Even though she was as intimidating as a slightly frusterated squirrel, people still seemed kind of flushed around her sometimes, usually guys.

Anthony laughed silently to himself. The nerd was gleaming with excitement as was the pretty blonde girl. She kept waving at him and then chattering to her friends when he waved back. Anthony saw the small table and wrinkled his nose. Too small. They'd bump into each other way too much. But it was the only one avialable and they did have drinks.
He looked at Randi and laughed. "Well, I believe that I could tie you down and tickle you, but that would be strange. Wouldn't it?" He tweaked her nose not unkindly and flopped down in one of the chairs. He looked at her and smile sweetly, gesturing towards the chair.

Randi wondered why exactly the fella was laughing to himself, and when she looked in the direction that he was, all she saw was the ''nerd'' and some blonde chick with friends. That didn't really seem laugh-worthy to Randi, but of course she didn't know what laugh-worth WAS. The girl laughed at the extremely stupid and quite lame jokes that were on popsicles for petes' sake. Sooooo basically, not so much down to earth when it comes to what's funny and what's not.
Randi saw Anthony make a strange/dissaproving face at the table, and didn't exactly see the problem with it. I mean, somehow Randi had always had a liking to small things- Small spaces, small books, small tables, small animals.. You get my drift. What was wrong with small and compact? Or maybe it was just Randi, the guy didn't want to touch her at all because he was completely checking out that blonde girl across the room. Thinking that was it, Randi decided that from then on she wouldn't flirt with him. Actually, she wasn't sure if she actually had or not, because it's kind of difficult for her to catch herself in the flirting act. Well anyways.
"Yeah it would be a bit strange." Randi said a bit blandly, figuring that if she sounded bland with all of her responces or sucked all of the 'Randiness' out of them, maybe he wouldn't think of them as flirting. Then, of course, he would probably look at her funny and back away very slowly to the blonde lady's side. Yeah that was EXACTLY what Randi wanted [sarcasm]. Randi watched Anthony go over to the tiny table and sit down in one of the chairs.. Actually flopped onto it as if it was some type of bean bag chair.. and then gesture to her to sit at the chair across from him. Randi glanced around, seeming as though she was making sure that Anthony was ''talking'' to her, before walking over to the empty chair and sitting in it. Wow. That sounded a bit horrible, of course she walked over {How else would she get there?} and of course she sat down {Because she couldn't just stand next to the chair as though it was her only companion}. Randi cleared her throat, thinking to herself that it would be much harder to have conversation with this lass if she was trying not to sound at all flirtatious or interested.. Oh goodness.
