In the middle of the night That's when you caught my eye The park, oh the park. The place with all of the birds singing and little kids screaming, Kodi didn't know why she found herself out there. It beat being in her dorm, but even outside in the nice weather didn't help. She was bored and there was no one that could cure that. Placing both of her hands into her pockets and her black nike's losely on her feet as she walked down the sidewalk kicking a soda can. Her redish brown hair hanging over her shoulders and partially up, black sunglasses and a hollister hoodie hanging over her cool body. Even though it was close to being summer, Kodi was one to always be cold, even if it was 100 degree's outside, kodi would still wear something to keep her cool. Digging into the pockets of the gray sweatshirt and finding her phone and ipod, Kodi grabbed the small, blue ipod and placed the headphones into her ears and started to look through the songs. She really needed to download somemore songs, but being out at the park wasn't going to help since well, her laptop was back in her room.
After walking not far, Kodi found a couple of swings there were unoccupied, and well that was the only thing that made her feel like a little kid. Walking over to one and sitting down, she didn't start exactly start swinging. Instead she sat there staring at a beer bottle and started to feel a little disgusted by it. Getting off the swing and walking over, picking up the bottle and sitting back onto the swing, moving the bottle throughout her hands. Damn she was bored. She had tried calling her brother earlier, but he wasn't exactly talk worthy. He'd rather be with his girlfriend than talking to his own sister, and it upset Kodi dearly since she didn't even get to see him that much. Whatever, most of the men in Kodi's family were ass holes so she didn't care. Starting to swing, and the bottle still in her hands, her feet barely moving against the sand.
After sitting there for maybe five minutes, kodi placed the bottle next to her and started swinging. Pushing her feet from the ground and getting higher and higher, a couple of little kids wanted to swing, but kodi was there first so it didn't matter, there were more like on the other side they could always go to. She wasn't in the mood to actually get off the swing she occupied to some little kid, just so she could go walking again. Nope that wasn't what she had on her schedule for the day to today. Today, she just wanted to talk to someone, anyone who was her age or around her age. Like that would happen, they were probably too busy hanging out with their fake friends, doing stuff better than what she was doing. Slowing down a little bit on the swing, Kodi skid her feet against the grass, and a couple peices flying out, oh well it'd grow back, and stopping kodi sat there staring around blankly, she wished someone would just come by and talk to her, thats all she really needed.
I chased you round in memories Through the breeze and the trees and you tease me

It was days like these when Warren wished his car worked. It wasn't that he was the lazy time, on the contrary, he always tried to walk to as many places as he could without him getting tired. The worries about pollution and all the global warming stuff had made him undependable from his little car. But he wished it worked that specific day since he was trying to get out of going with his parents to another funeral. They didn't even know the guy that had died, neither the family, but they wanted to go because they were that weird. Not the good weird that Warren liked so much, but the weird kind that freaks people out. He was still not sure as to why his parents did that. Maybe they liked seeing other people crying or something like that. No, that couldn't be the reason. If they liked seeing people cry, they could easily make their son cry. There was probably nothing more cruel than to see your son crying and enjoying it.
As the boy walked out of his house with Hemingway next to him, he realized that his parents were not going to stop him from leaving. They were probably still busy getting ready to leave. Putting on his favorite sunglasses, Warren patted his puppy's head and started walking down the sidewalk. The park looked like a good option to get away from his daily life. Plus, Hemingway liked digging holes on the sand, something Warren's mother didn't let him do on their garden. She liked planting flowers and Hemingway liked digging them out and biting on them. Giving his puppy some hours of freedom sounded good. So, patting him again, Warren turned to the right and made his way to the park. At least for a couple of hours.
Getting there, his puppy quickly ran to the sand box, where some little kids were already there. Hemingway didn't mind, he trotted to an empty spot away from the kids and started digging happily. Warren had taught him not to interrupt the children's games. The boy's eyes quickly scanned his surroundings. They stopped at a girl on a swing and a couple of little kids wanting to get on that swing. The sweater she was wearing made Warren know exactly who she was. There was only one person who could be wearing a hoodie on summer. Not even Warren did that. He had settled for a plain sky blue tshirt and tight blue jeans. His blue converse high tops were already scribbled and torn a bit from the sides, but he didn't care. All of his shoes were pretty old and he didn't have the heart to throw them away. Walking towards the swing, Warren looked at the little kids and then at Kodi's back. He sighed and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "You know, if you don't get off of that swing, his mother could come and try pushing you off of it."

The clock's turning around And you're still playing these games Continuing to barely move the swing, the bottle in her hands and the ipod very low. You would think about this time Kodi would be hot but she wasn't, she was still freezing. Her brown hair moving with the wind as she started to twist the swing a little bit. She found swinging in circles were better than just back and fourth, really when in doubt was swinging really fun? I guess its only if your extremely bored like Kodi. Her brown eyes scanning the playground, of course no one was going to come to keep her company, she was a loser with out any friends, unlike back home she was pratically, the biggest slut at her school. Or so the rumor was. Its not like she cared anyways, I mean there were more sluts than just one in a school of hundreds maybe even thousands who knows these days.
The black Nikes digging into the sand as she continued to twist the sing. The wind blowing and looking like an idiot, Kodi was atleast free to do what she wanted. She didn't have her devilish step-father or the devil's son, her step-brother anywhere to do anything. If she wanted to, she could've gone to find some hobo who was living on the streets and hung out with him, but that wasn't her, she was the one to sleep with high school guys. But there was just really one guy, Warren. Kodi wandered what ever happened to him. After that party she went to and then moving, she never spoke to him again, which sucked at the moment cause Kodi really wanted some fun even if it was going somewhere and finding some person to buy her alcohol. Even though she promised herself she wouldn't drink anymore, it was becoming a lie. She really needed a drink, maybe a party with drinks.. Something.
The song on her ipod changing to one of her favorite bands, a change of pace, playing war in your bedroom. Barely singing to it, she wasn't going to put on a show for little kids who would go running to their mothers asking what differen't words ment, no, she didn't even feel like putting up with parents, including her own. Looking around the playground somemore, and a couple of little kids catching her attetion, that was until she saw a dog digging over in a corner. Wasn't there a sign somewhere that said dogs should be leashed at all times or something. Standing up for a moment and turning her back, only to find Warren standing there. A smirk appearing onto her face "They can have it. thats if they want" she said taking out the headphones of her ipod and placing it into her pockets. Digging her hands into her back pockets, Kodi was suprised to see him, but wasn't really wanting to show it.
It's such a waste to bring me down, down, down Don't bring me down cause
