Silence was effortless now, as the sky began to break, and sun flooded through the billowing clouds. The vast stretches of golden sand were almost alone in their silence, except for the trail of footprints leading to a piece of hollow driftwood. And a girl. She sat their, as silent as the sky, the wind and the lapping tides, just sitting. Her head of brown hair rested on one pale hand, as it had for almost an hour. But now, it seemed the spell of this beach had broken, and the girl stood. Her motion revealed her true looks, rather than her simply her layered waves of golden hair. Her toned body was lightly tanned, and she wore a short white skirt, with various rips and frays, with a deep blue top, laced straps of a lighter blue holding it onto her slim frame. Yes, she was certainly pretty, with soft features and the deepest brown eyes. This girl looked like one of the more popular teenagers, so why did she sit so alone, head in her hand and silence about her? New places tend to do this to people, even the most confident girls. Ashling Byrne had only moved her a few days ago, and already she missed what she had left behind. Friends, family, and so much more. But she knew that moping about on deserted beaches was no way to make friends. However, the sun was making a belated entrance, and the clouds were clearing, and soon, she imagined, the beach would welcome new life to comfort her. So she straightened down her outfit, ran a hand through her hair and sighed softly, before throwing her bag over one shoulder, and bending down to sort out her shoes. Deep blue pumps, with white lace reaching up to just below her knee. Next, she stepped over to the driftwood, and began to walk towards the shore, expecting some form of company, either of friendship, or perhaps a cute looking guy. Both would be very much appreciated.
