Personality :
[/li][li]Trust Although he's really outgoing and talkative, Triston’s always kept things bottled up inside. If you tell him a secret, he’ll do anything he can to keep it safe; he could even depend his life on it if it’s juicy enough. In spite the fact that Tristan’s a total jerk, trustworthy seems to be the perfect thing that describes him.
[/li][li]Smugness[/u][/I] Putting aside the fact that Tristan’s not always a jerk, you may find him...how you say...self confident? No...wrong word, self-absorbed? Spoiled? No! Got one: Smug... that’s it. Declan Smithson is a total smug. No matter what trouble he’s in, the guy always has been proud to be himself. Declan can’t be easily offended either, if you try really hard to go against him & then succeed, he’d break, but that’s hasn’t happened much. Sometimes Declan knows that he’s right about something, but doesn’t ever admit it outside.
[/li][li]Weakness[/u][/I] Once Declan has made up his mind, he wouldn’t really ever plan on changing it. Unless if it’s something that he has absolutely no control over. He’s a very confident person and it is pretty hard for him to get offended. Although, he isn’t shy, Declan tries really hard for people to not see through him as in...see his weakness, which is something only he knows of. Another one of his weakness is probably the fact that he’s never giving up on stuff, and yes ya’ll, that’s a weakness...for him, it’s more in his blood.
[/li][li]Blood Although Declan isn’t all that sweet to people later on, it’s in his blood to never treat a girlfriend like he treats his own friends...ya get me? He’d never let a girl pay for anything if he’s with her on a date or just another girl he’s hanging with...I mean not even for a pack of gum. Declan thinks that “never giving up” is some sort of curse that’s been in his family for the longest time, because he doesn’t really know anyone in the family, who’s ever changed their mind about something and has given up. Nor does he remember anytime he, himself, had given up on.
It kind of scared him at first how everyone in his entire family is so helpful around others, not just each other, even if their lives are in danger, they’d first work on being helpful to others in need of it, before themselves...another family disease perhaps?[/li][/ul]
Appearance:
-Just like any other guy, the teenager slips on a pair of faded jeans, a t-shirts and runs out the door. On his feet, you'll always see either a pair of Nike's or rainbow flip-flops. Nothing else. On his arm is a blue rubber band that he never ever takes off; he thinks it brings him good luck. And from what he's noticed in the past, the rubber band really is helpful.
-His skin has a light tan and is really soft. Though the teenager works out a lot, he still seems to look like the wimpiest kid ever. Declan
History:
Jake Smithson and Alaina Jayden got married when they were barely in their teenage years. Jake didn’t really have a rich family, but Alaina’d grown up in a filthy rich one. Alaina’s first and last love had been Jake, but her parents didn’t approve of him, only because he, himself, wasn’t rich. Alaina didn’t like the fact that her parents only cared about their reputation, so she and Jake ran away from home, out of the US and bought a nice house in a small town in France. No one afterwards ever heard of Alaina or Jake. They both got married, of course,
not inviting their parents when Alaina as 18 and Jake 19. The two lovers had lived their lives perfectly in a huge mansion as they had a pair of twins only an year after they both got married: Declan and Paige.
Declan Smithson’s life had started out just it does for any other young boy in France. He had a loving mother, a father, and a fraternal twin sister, Paige. Everything had been perfect with his family; his parents both on selling houses and they were both appreciated in the estate business. The boy’s family was really rich, living in that mansion right in the middle of town. The Smithsons’ were well known in their neighborhood and possibly half of France.
Seeing as the family was in France, Alaina and Jake both got used to speaking French and that’s what Declan and Paige grew up with. Jake and Alaina didn’t really push their children into speaking English, so they let it be. Alaina’s parents never talked to her again, while Jake’s parents come to visit after very 1 and a half years. The family really had everything how they wanted it to be.
His life was seriously Declan’s definition of perfect, until a rainy day on a Monday of December when he and Paige were only 5. To him, it was an ordinary boring day until a call from the hospital came and they all rushed to the hospital as they heard that they’re father had got into a car accident and his brain had been damaged…big time. Declan and Paige were both heartbroken as they heard that Jake died only 4 days after the accident.
Alaina wasn’t so sure if she could take care of both her children by herself, so she hired a nanny for Alaina and Declan without even asking if the two were okay with it. The nanny wasn’t only the nanny, to Alaina, she was a housekeeper, the kids’ friend, a butlerette, and so much more. The ‘nanny’ was also an American, so by the time the two were around 11, she loved working with Declan and Paige with their English-speaking skills. Declan and Paige spoke almost perfect English by 5 months, even though Declan had a little accent in his English while Paige didn’t.
The both were hooked to playing the guitar and skateboarding. The two would sometimes play against each other to see who was better. Besides, skateboarding and guitar-playing, Paige was totally into soccer and volleyball, she considered herself as the best of both the teams in her middle school and she was right. Declan on the other hand didn’t like the same sports, he’d been more of the basketball and the football type of guy and he too was the best player in both the seasons, in middle AND high school.
When the two turned 17, Alaina decided to move back to the US, hoping that she wouldn’t bump into her parents there. South Carolina was where the teenagers started their new lives and if their mom was happy, so were they. The nanny whose name was Haylee had been considered part of the family, seeing as she too moved back to the US with the single mother and the two teenager. The widow bought a bigger house than the one they had back in France.
Declan wasn’t all that happy with the whole change, and he hated the fact that his mother just went along with her life like nothing happened to her life when Declan’s father died. You could say Declan wasn’t happy with the change, but he wasn’t really minding it either. Alaina was sure that the LakeLand High was the best place to send him and his sister as Haylee did housework and she herself went to work.
