Character's Name: Warren Moretti
Age: 16
Grade: Junior
Height: 5'6
Hair color: Black
Eye color: Hazel
Other Family Members:
[James Moretti, father, lawyer, promiscuous, 40]
[Angelica Moretti, mother, housewife, alcoholic, 38]
Personality
After a few drinks or with no alcohol in his system, Warren is called obnoxious and a loud mouth. It’s not his fault that his body just can’t seem to control the sugar or the alcohol as well as others, but he likes to be loud and let people know he is there. An attention sleeper is probably one of the nicknames people have for him. It’s true and he knows it. Warren can’t seem to live without someone paying attention to him. If the person he is talking to suddenly looks away, he will surely start screaming until the attention is back at himself and not at the cute dog that just passed barking loudly.
Many people are vain and Warren is not the exception. He can’t live without looking at himself in the mirror and telling everyone just how good looking or sexy he is. Being so vain also leads him to being very flirty. If someone just doesn’t seem interested in him, Warren will start a tantrum and keep on flirting until he gets what he wants: the attention of that special someone.
Being in a family where the lies are what keep them together, Warren hates liars and loves honest people. He says what he feels whenever he feels like it. This boy is the type of person that won’t be around someone he doesn’t like just because of not wanting to hurt the person. He believes that saying the truth is the only way to keep a real relationship with people.
He can easily hold a grudge forever if he wants to. People don’t even have to do anything over the edge for him to stay mad until further notice. If someone even jokes of being mad at him, he takes it to heart and makes a note to not talk to that person until he or she understands to never joke about that with Warren.
Warren’s flirty habits and the way he loves himself quickly vanishes when he meets that special someone. He could become that person’s slave and do everything for him or her if that’s what his love wants. This could be described as obsession with just a slight change: Warren would never kill himself, kill the one that broke up with him, or kill anyone else when the relationship is over. He knows that the feelings died or disappeared and he takes it very maturely and doesn’t even hold a grudge in the aspect of love.

Warren would look like any other kid around if every other kid around had as many tattoos as him. Coming from an Italian family, the color of his skin is naturally tanned. This also means that whenever he is outside for long periods of time, his skin can easily get tanned. This is the main caused that Warren doesn’t really like being outside for a long time.
His hazel eyes have a natural sparkle that appear whether or not his showing his famous cheshire smile. Even when he is mad, his eyes keep that sparkle that makes the people around him believe he is always happy. However, when he is sad, the color of his eyes changes to a much darker brown. There is something that makes his eyes stand out more, Warren wears a lot of black eyeliner around his eyes. Some people even wonder if he was born with the blackness around the eyes or if he really puts on so much eyeliner every morning.
His height is something he is not really that proud of. Standing five feet and six inches tall, Warren is really sure there are Sophomores taller than him and that thought doesn’t really make him happy. Even though his body is tiny in height, the way it is built makes up for the smallness of height. He doesn’t work out or really care about whether his stomach is plain or has a few extra pounds, but the daily walk he takes with his dog has helped him keep a steady weight of one hundred and forty-five pounds.
[Clothing Style]
This boy is on the positive side of things. This means that the t-shirts he uses could have a peace sign or even the logo of some organization against the cruelty of animals. Funny quotes or pictures are also on his list of t-shirts. Shirts and polos are also on his closet, which he wears with either ties or with the collar up.
Tight jeans, or girl’s pants as some say, are the favorite thing for him to wear. Some people even wonder if he can wear underwear under those tight clothes. The truth? He does wear underwear. Even though Warren doesn’t need to wear belts, he likes to buy them with cool designs and just let them hang loosely over his jeans.
Converse shoes are his favorite type of shoe brand. But there are also other tennis shoes with brand or even with no brand at all. He doesn’t like throwing away his old sneakers so what he does is still wears them even if there’s a hole on the side of his right one and the other one is perfectly fine.
Even though his family is wealthy, he likes to go to places where clothes aren’t really that costly. Of course, he does wear brand clothing, but not the type that has a moose or an eagle as a logo. He tends to wear things that he likes and not care about the cost of it or what celebrity uses them.
History:
[Before]
The Morettis was a loving couple. Everyone in their neighborhood used them as an example of how a happy family should look like. Mr. Moretti would go to work in the mornings and come back in the night, but always with a smile on his face. Mrs. Moretti was the perfect housewife. There was always a sweet smell of baked goodies coming out of the Moretti’s house hold thanks to Mrs. Moretti’s baking skills. They were always the family that was asked to make decisions for the neighborhood, were the ones always planning parties, giving food to the new neighborhoods, and helping their church with everything it needed. They were devoted Christians, almost saints in people's eyes. Everyone thought they were perfect, except their son.
[His Birth]
Warren Moretti was born on a winter day. While everyone was out shopping for the Christmas that was a few days away, the Morettis were welcoming a little boy into their family. He was named the cutest baby by the nurses and everyone wanted to have him in their arms and look at him closely. He wasn’t really as beautiful as other babies, but everyone wanted to have him around because he was a Moretti, which meant he was perfect.
[His Childhood]
The boy’s childhood was, like his family, perfect. His parties were the best in the neighborhood and everyone wanted to go see the clowns, magicians, and other types of entertainment his parents got for the birthday parties. The gifts had to be amazing because he was a Moretti, and everyone loved a Moretti. But Warren didn’t grow up around the other people in his neighborhood, his parents sent him to a Christian boarding school away from the city to avoid him from knowing what was going on around home. What they didn’t think about was that he was a smart kid and that everything he thought would change during his teenage years.
[They Say Thirteen Is An (Un)Lucky Number]
At the age of thirteen, Warren started to see uncommon things going on around his house during the summer. His mom would always hang around the mini bar in his dad’s office and his dad would come home at night even though his office closed in the afternoon. The things around his house while the door was closed were very different than the things happening while other people could see them. Warren was confused at the two-sided people his parents were, but other things during his teenage years also confused him.
[Wonderful Years At Christian Camp]
After he started asking questions, his parents came up with the wonderful idea of sending him to Christian camp. He happily went for two years without anything going wrong. At the age of fifteen, the teenage boy had his first kiss. But his kiss wasn’t with a girl like other boys, it was with a boy his age with sandy hair and beautiful green eyes. Warren was happy and they spend the rest of the summer together, things changed during his next school year.
[Christians Aren’t Sinners]
With hormones doing weird things to fifteen year old boys, the school Warren was going to decided to talk to them about sex and everything related to that. They told the boys that being in love was a feeling between a man and a woman. Warren raised his hand and asked what if two men felt love for each other. He was crushed by the teacher’s words ‘men are not supposed to love each other as they are supposed to love a woman, if that happens, then they will burn in hell’. The confused boy knew he had sinned and that he was going to hell, but he was perfect, the sin could be forgiven and he could be a good man like his father. That same summer, he didn’t go to the Christian camp. He couldn’t face those green eyes and that silky sand hair he loved running his hands through. Instead, he stayed home and kept seeing strange things.
[What You Know Will Hurt You]
On the second week of his summer, Warren finally found out just what was going on. One day, he decided to skip school to see his dad and talk to him about the problems going on. When he got to his office, he was surprised to see the secretary’s desk empty. Not thinking about it, Warren opened the door and saw his father having sex with the woman that used to give him candies every time he visited his dad, his dad’s secretary for more than ten years.
[The Lies Around Will Always Haunt You]
Warren finally understood the things going around him. The veil covering his eyes had finally flown away. His father had had multiple affairs even before Warren had been born. Mrs. Moretti had known about those affairs and had drowned herself into alcohol to forget that the man she had married was a bastard. Warren’s family didn’t seem so perfect to him anymore. The neighbors still saw them as their idols and the Moretti family kept on with the charade their family was. Every one kept on with their lives, except the poor teenage boy. He had found out all of his life had been a lie. No one was perfect, not even him.
[The Results]
After being angry at the world for a week, Warren started sneaking out of his house and neighborhood to go into the real world. A fifteen year old boy couldn’t really buy alcohol so he had to become friends with teenagers that could buy it. He had always been on a boarding Christian school and his friends were not the type to sneak out and buy beer or anything stronger so he was very surprised when guys a year older than him offered to buy beer for him and even cigarettes. The sneaking out kept going for a good month until his father found him climbing down his window. The confrontation ended with Warren telling his father he was a bastard and getting slapped by the man he used to want to be like.
[Forget The Past, Live The Present, And Hope For A Better Future]
Now, Warren does whatever he wants. He knows he won’t go to hell before his father goes there along with his mother. Even if his life has changed on the inside, it is still the same on the outside just with a minor change: Warren. The boy can’t be dragged to the church or anything that involves faking their family being a role model for everyone else. His parents have left him alone to do whatever he pleases just as long as he doesn’t tell anyone what really happens in his life. He won’t tell anyone for fear of them knowing just how imperfect he is.

After looking at his laptop's screen for about five minutes, Benjamin finally got up and started chasing his son to get him ready. When he caught him, he glared at him and started telling him how they were going to spend the night with Hayden. Jakob willingly let Benjamin dress him and sat down peacefully as his father got a backpack with their things ready. Benjamin's mother walked in and asked what was going on. That was the start of an argument.
While Benjamin assured his mother that nothing was going to happen to them on the way to Hayden's house, the woman kept saying how Jakob was not going to let Hayden sleep and how Benjamin was just throwing his responsibility to someone else. After ten minutes of Benjamin talking to his dad over the phone, he finally got permission and watched as his mother walked out of his room saying how much Hayden was going to regret letting them sleep in his home. Benjamin looked at his son and thought about it. Hayden didn't need them just annoying him at his apartment, but there was no way he was going to tell his friend that over the computer.
The drive to Hayden's apartment was silent for them. Benjamin kept thinking about his mother's words. They were really a responsibility that she didn't ask for. But she had also been the one that had begged Benjamin to finish his school before thinking of a future alone with his son. He blinked a few times before realizing he had reached his destination. After parking, he remembered the real problem he was going to face. What was he going to tell Hayden? How were they going to act towards each other after Benjamin's confession? Sighing, he stepped out of the car and opened the back door. He picked up the messenger bag and placed it around his shoulder before picking up his son over his shoulder. Closing the car doors, Benjamin started walking slowly to Hayden's apartment.
"Stop it Jakob. You get my hair sticky with that pop tart, I'm not buying them for you ever again." The little boy didn't seem to take Benjamin seriously since he kept on smearing the chocolate in his father's hair. Groaning, Benjamin knocked on Hayden's door and took a step back. He was really nervous and still didn't know how to act around his friend. He bit on his lip and looked at the door with a scared face. What was that word people said when they were greeting someone?
