Personality Riley is the girl that everyone knows, from something or another. She is the kind of girl that isn't afraid to get dirty, playing sports, but can be known as the girly type. She loves to play soccer, it's her passion. She has played it all her life, and hopes to one day be pro. Playing sports seem like everything to her, but nothing to her can match friends. She loves to hang out with friends and would be lost without them. She hasn't lived her all her life, but she has lived here long enough, moving here in 7th grade. She loves to smile, and often there isn't a smile on her face. If anyone is having a hard time, they know they can come to her if in need of support or advice. She also likes guys, but they have to be cute, funny, or honest. No players here! When she was younger she was never shy, she would just walk up to people and introduce herself, then start talking to them as if they had known her all her life and were already her best friend. Being outgoing, always pushed her to meet new people and new friends. She dosen't like to talk behind people's backs, unless they do something to push the limit on her composure. Growing up and living with her brother, she sometimes found it easier to talk to guys, or be around them. She still loves to hang out with girls, but in some situations guys are the only kind of people she wants to be around. When she is left out of things, that is when things can take a turn for the worse. She has a habit of taking things to seriously or looking into them too far. She feels that if they leave her out they must hate her, which means she has done something wrong. She hates to be a letdown, let alone let downs in general. She tries to measure up to everyone else, instead of just herself, in the times when she is in trouble or confused. She hates restrictions on anything, also rasins, just never really liked them.
AppearanceHer brown hair falls around her shoulders, moving with her every step. Her skin glows of a sun kissed teenager, but the skin appears baby soft. Her outside imperfections are minimal. Just like many she is a insecure teenager, who may be beautiful outside, is very well beautiful on the inside too. Her long legs, make her feel comfortable in shorts. Often out in a bikini ready to surf the what ever the ocean brings her. She normally wears a pair of jeans and an Abercrombie or Hollister shirt. Her eyes have a sparkle to them, catching the attention of whoever she looks at, the color of brown.
History: Riley grew up on the North Shore of Hawaii. She loved it there, always surfing or running around with her friends. She became quite a good surfer by the age of 8, always dreaming of one day surfing pipeline. Out of the water and on the shore, Riley picked up soccer. She taught herself tricks that could help her game become better. Her brother Matt is 5 years older than her, but he never onced bullied her. He cares for her and he looked after her growing up. When she turned 11, her father decided to move the family out of Hawaii and to England for a few years. During middle school Riley met alot of her close friends that she has today, and is glad she came here for highschool. Her dad missed the waves of Hawaii and her parents agreed they wanted to move back, but Riley didn't want to leave her friends. Matt going to college in the same area next year, decided that is was ok if Riley stayed at her school, and he would stay at his, but be nearby if she ever needed anything. Her parents agreed, and here Riley is today, 17, living here without parents, and under the guidelines of her brother; which are basically nothing.

Walking inside she brushed off her arms of all the rain drops on them from outside's falling rain. Today she was about to perform her first surgery as a resident here - so she had to do the usual meet and greet with the patient. She walked through the hallway and into the Female Lounge - there she was about to switch into her other set of clothing - pale green scrubs. She pulled her brown hair back which meant she was, but first had to see if the patient was ready for the operation. She walked to the room she was sent too and took the chart out from on the door as she opened it. She smiled seeing a little girl sitting with a bear in the patient's bed. She looked over the chart to see she had to perform a transfusion. She walked to the girls side and knelt down. "Hello, I'm Riley, I'm going to be helping you get better."
The girl's eyes looked at her over and over. A soft smile came from the girls lips, "You're pretty, I like you."
The six year old responded. She stood up checking the time, "Are you ready?"
The little girl nodded before a man placed a gas mask over her mouth, as she went into a deep slumber. She walked along side of her into the OR. She scrubbed her hands at the sink and slipped her gloves on. She knew she was being tested because of the doctors watching her through the glass. She placed the mask over her mouth, her brown hair tyed back. She told a nurse to switch on the lights, as she walked to the center of the room, there was the little girl. Asleep, so motionless, she knew she could save her life. After checking heart rate she turned to a nurse to her left, "Bring me the donor blood, and set it there," she said pointing to the table next to her. A man walked through the ward with a vile of blood in his hand, and the report of it. She took it from him ,"Thank you," she said reading it over.
No infections in either blood, good, she thought. "Scaple," she said to the nurse.
After being handed it she made a small cut on her arm. Setting the knife down, she wiped the blood that came out of her arm. "Cannula," she said to another nurse, holding out her hand.
She took ahold of the tube, properly placing it in her arm she gave the signal to turn on the blood machine. Blood filled the cannula but slowly stopped after a moment. A unit (up to 500 ml) of blood is typically administered over 4 hours. By doing this you can prevent fluid overload. She checked the girls heart rated once more before giving the all clear. She discussed with the other surgeons and they all agreed the girl should stay in her the remaining four hourse to fill her blood. Since she's so small we can watch her closely here and stop problems if they appear. She took off her gloves and washed her hands, scrubbing them to the maximum. All the blood washed right of and in the trash she threw the towel. She stepped out into the hallway lowering her mask so it hung around her neck. She answered the question the doctors / surgeons asked her about the procedure. Thank goodness she didn't feel any pressure so the answers came right to her. Satisfiyed, they left her standing in the hallway. She turned around and watched the little girl through the window. She folded her arms across her chest, a nurse stepped outside and walked over to her. "Dr. Harvey, the girl heart rate is stable and her body is taking all the blood needed so we have given the all clear sign. Good job," she said to her.
Riley turned her attention to her, then to the little girl. She smiled, "Thank you," she mouthed Riley through the window.
She smiled as she watched her close her eyes and fall asleep again. She turned around in the hallway to see the patients and doctors in every direction hurrying down the halls. Half trying not to fall asleep, others trying not to pop a vein. She sighed, she knew being a surgeon she could end up like them, she just hoped it wouldn't be today.
