Did he normally get online at approximately eleven o'clock at night? Well, the answer was yes he was more of a nighttime person than a morning person. Of course one usually was that way when they could stay out until five in the morning partying they usually were that way. Of course, if he was still in high school his parents never would have let him get away with that sort of thing. Of course, he'd been taking classes at the community college for a few years now and was almost finished with them. He'd left it up to Brenden to take over their father's bank since he wasn't going to do it and had known that for years. Sure he was good with numbers but he knew that he could never handle a ton of stress. Especially, when a lot of money relied on some decisions. Of course, he knew that his father was disappointed that he didn't want to take on the business. But it wasn't the first time that he'd disappointed him. Like the time that he'd gotten drunk and ended up getting his ear pierced.
Of course, that was when he was seventeen and now he was twenty one. It was hard to believe that he was that old, but he was. It seemed like it was just yesterday he was teasing Brenden about only being fourteen, now he was seventeen. He knew that he was overprotective of his younger siblings but he didn't want them to do some of the things that he had done. His eyes wandered over to his laptop, he might as well go on it. Besides, it wasn't much fun just sitting there listening to the silence. A few moments later he was signing onto AIM, of course he knew that there probably would be anybody else on. All of his friends were in different towns now and he probably was the only one home. Tonight he just hadn't felt like going out.
&& Me: has signed in
That was the stupidest screen name ever, and he knew it. But he had never been able to think up a better one so he'd been stuck with that one for years now. He began to type out a message before pausing to listen to a car going by before he returned to typing.
&& Me: So, is anybody else bored at eleven p.m.?
((really bad post but it's late))

Jessica logged on to AIM (Or iChat that is) as she adjusted the volume on the TV. The theme music to The Daily Show played and glanced back at her beloved laptop's screen.
JessEEKa966: has signed on
JEssica glanced up as a comerical aired and then scanned her buddy list. Ugh, noone on, She thought before noticing a screen name at the bottom of her list. It seemed to be on so she opened up a window and began to type.
JessEEKa966: Yo.
She studied the screenname && Me and wondered who it was. Oh well, I'll find out soon enough and she hit 'Enter'.

Ok, so somebody that he didn't know had replied to his message. It wasn't the first time something like that had happened. He just hoped that the person wasn't thirteen years old or something. Since once he told that the he was twenty one he'd just simply sign off or abandon the conversation. He wasn't about to talk to some little kid who was too immature or something. Besides, he felt like a stalker when somebody told him that they were thirteen. He usually told them that they were simply too young to talk to before he left the conversation. That was the problem with talking to people online, you never really know how old the other person is. Of course, when people tried to tell him that he was really younger he told them to look his name up on the computer for themselves and that usually shut them up. Of course, a few times he'd been accused of being Brenden. That wasn't so bad since Brenden was only seventeen but still, he certainly wasn't Brenden.
&& Me: Hey, so I'm not the only one who's online at elven o'clock at night then.
He typed and then sent the message, he then heard his door open and looked at it, half expecting Brenden to walk in. Of course, it wasn't him since he was sleeping in the room next to his. Instead, it was Brenden's puppy Brownie. "What, is Brenden hogging the bed or something?" He said and then watched as the dog ran over to him and tried to climb up onto the chair he was sitting in. He then picked up laptop up and then sat down on the floor next to the puppy. "This is just between you and me alright." He whispered to the puppy before running his hand through the animals short brown and white fur. He didn't want to wake Brenden up with his talking, of course he knew that he probably was fast asleep.

Jessica set her laptop aside as she went to fetch a thing of cookie dough, one of her many weaknesses. She yawned and opened the fridge as her cat Jamba (don't ask) scurried past her. Jessica rolled her eyes as she bent down and scratched behind his orange ears. She then stood back up, grabbed a spoon and headed back to her Mac Book Pro. She noticed her IM window was flashing. Apparantly this person anwsered. She plopped down on the couch and typed up another message.
JessEEKa966: Apparently not.
JessEEKa966: What tis up?
She hit the enter key and then grabbed the tub eagerly. She laughed at herself with a grin, knowing her brothers were busy upstairs sleeping, watching tv, or doing something. She grined as she dug the spoon into the bucket.

He stared at the puppy for a moment before he noticed that the other person had sent him a message back. He noticed the Brownie was falling asleep and had his head on his knee. If the puppy fell asleep like that he'd have to move the puppy when he finally decided to go to sleep. Since he wasn't about to fall asleep on the floor.
&& Me: At the moment, I'm just sitting here watching my brother's puppy fall asleep on me. Since the dog figured out how to get my door open by just pushing on it.
He typed and then hit the enter button before he looked around the room. There was only one light on and that was next to his bed but he could see all of the pictures that were there. Throughout the years he'd acquired a lot of pictures and there were some pictures that were hidden underneath his bed. One of them was there because one of these days he was going to surprise Brenden by giving it to him. Of course, knowing Brenden he'd probably start crying when he realized that it was a long lost picture of Mike and him. Of course, he wouldn't blame him for crying. Mike and him had been best friends for years before Mike died in a car accident two years ago. He was the one who had let Brenden sneak out of the house at eleven to run over to Jordan's house to talk to him. Of course, he'd made him wear a jacket since it had been a cold November night.
&& Me: Actually, I'm enjoying the summer since there isn't any homework for college now.
Now, he actually had revealed that he was probably older than the person that he was talking to. How much older he didn't know but he knew that a question would probably come up of how old he was or something. Most people made him feel very old, since most of the people that he now talked to were either seventeen or eighteen. Even then some of them were just his brothers friends.

Jessica glanced at the messages as she set the Yellow TOll House tub aside. She read them to herself and grinned. Dogs always were smart. She glanced over at the empty dog bed at the side of the room. Hobbes and Toby were off somewhere in the house and Calvin she knew was with Jack. She continued reading and figured out that && Me was in College and older than her. She instantly began a reply.
JessEEKa966: Fascinating, my cat witnessed me with a tub of Cookie Dough and looked like he wanted some. Lol.
JessEEKa966: Summer does rock. No more people yelling at you practically to pick a career and a college and people going on and on about learning languages and history. Ugh.
Feeling fine with her type she hit 'Enter' and returned to her cookie dough.

For some reason what she said about cookie dough reminded him of Brenden and peanut butter. Of course, she probably wasn't obsessed with it like he was. Still, at least Brenden didn't go through a ton of peanut butter a day. It was then when he realized that somebody had emailed him, well he'd get to it after he sent another message.
&& Me: That reminds me of Brenden and peanut butter. Of course you probably know Brenden. It's rather odd that your cat looked like he wanted cookie dough though.
He knew that she probably knew all about his little brother. Of course, Brenden was just like him in a way. Since he'd been quarterback for two years and now Brenden was too. Some people said that they looked alike and he could see why they thought that be he thought that Brenden and his best friend looked more alike.
&& Me: Oh trust, me college is a lot worse since you have to do good. Not to mention, it cuts into time that was spent going to parties. I can't remember the last time I went to a party and that's sad.
It was then that he read the email that was sent to him and almost busted out laughing at how much a reporter had messed up an article. He'd gotten Brenden and him confused, for some reason and had actually put his name into the article instead of Brenden's. He'd have to show it to him later. Of course he knew that Brenden would think that it was funny.

Jessica spooned anothe helping of cookie dough into her mouth as a *ding* echoed out of the speakers. Once more she set the tub to the side and read. She grinned and tried to think. Brenden... Brenden.... Gah, I've heard that name before. She shrugged and then in mid type remembered. Brenden Erickson. Yeah!! That guy. Apparently this was his older brother. She paused as she read the next message. She resumed typing once more.
JessEEKa966: Yeah, i think I know him. And a cat wanting cookie dough isn't the weirdest thing I've seen my pets do. I swear my brother's dog has certain movie tastes. He runs in likr crazy and sits down eagerly when Lord of the Rings and Star Wars comes on but is nowhere in sight when anything comedy comes on. It's freaky.
JessEEKa966: Interesting. Parties eh? I haven't gone to many of those in a while either. Since apparently to some people I'm some stupid freak. But who cares, I still go to most of the good ones.
Yeah, to some of the popular people who hated her, she would NEVER be invited to one of their parties. but she didn't care, she always got invited to the actually good ones. She hit 'Enter' once more and hurledback at the dough.

What she had said about her dog was freaky, as far as he knew none of the dogs at home did anything like that. Of course, most of the dogs were kept outdoors except for Brownie and his sister's dog. They didn't have any cats and the dogs were actually the only pets that they had at the moment. Although, that was because they actually had two dogs and two puppies.
&& Me: Ok, that's kind of creepy none of our dogs do that. Of course, my dads dogs are usually outside most of the time. That's because my dad has a lot of people over sometimes for these fancy dinner parties that I can never get out of going to.
The only thing that he hated about those fancy dinner parties was the fact that he actually had to dress up for them and he always felt really weird being at them. Of course, Brenden had to suffer through them too and he knew that his younger sister would probably have to start being there for them too.
&& Me: Yeah well, you're just lucky that you didn't wake up and find out that somebody pierced your ear. This was...four years ago though.
It was true, that had happened to him when he was seventeen. Of course, it was partially his fault since he'd gotten drunk and had no idea what was happening.

Jessica glanced at the messages and laughed to herself. She had to admit the whole dog movie thing was extremely freaky. And amazingly enough it was true. She continued reading as she (once again) set the cookie dough aside. JessEEKa966: Wow, that would suck, unless you actually wanted it. Then it wouldn't suck that much.
jessEEKa966: Soo.... apparently you went to Lakeland high? That's so very "Fascinatiing"
She laughed to herself at her stupid posts but didn't care. She just hit Enter and returned to Toll House.

He hadn't wanted it at all, although now some girls fount it attractive for some reason. At the time he'd been angry that people had done that to him. Not to mention, his parents had made sure they knew where he was for a long time after that. That was one reason why he followed Brenden to parties now since there was no way he wanted something to happen to him like that. He also followed him into clubs and off to the "top secret parties", of course Brenden usually told him where they were anyway. But, he did have connections so if he really wanted to find out where one was all he would have to do was call somebody up and ask them.
&& Me: Oh trust me, I didn't want it done. It's still pierced though since I really didn't feel like having it grow shut. There's probably still stories about what happened that night going around. Since for awhile there it was big news among the high school crowd.
He almost laughed when he saw her question pop up. She was funny, or maybe it was just because he was rather tired.
&& Me: Yes, I did, and my dad did, and my grandpa did and the list goes on. And whoever has my math book has a lot of the answers since if I remember right I never erased my work out of the books. I would say feel free to ask any question about me but you see, there's some things I just won't answer. So I'll say this, feel free to ask me almost anything about myself. (Or Brenden, I know everything about my little brother.)

Jessica yawned, not feeling as tired as before. At least now she had something to do. Noticing some fur brush against her leg she glanced down.Jamba was slipping under her legs affectionatly. She laughed to herself and lifted him up. "Hey there," she grinned as she placed the orange cat next to her and set the cookie dough aside. Practically laughing at the look on Jamba's face as he eyed the tub.She pet him alittle bit as she read the new instant messages. She grinned and began typing.
JessEEKa966: Lol.
jessica continued reading his next message.
JessEEKa966: Cool, so before I ask you some questions, What about you asking me?
She grinned and almost laughed at her reply. After tapping the Enter button she resumed her cookie dough eating and cat purring.

How right she was, he was very curious about this girl and probably would end up asking her a few questions. The first one would probably have to deal with age since he honestly didn't want to talk to some little snotty nosed twelve year old. If he wanted to do that then he would just have to call up one of his cousins. Actually, he probably wouldn't even have to do that since sometimes at his dad's parties there would be children there that he'd have to entertain. That was sometimes hard since some of them didn't want to do anything and they just ended up annoying him the whole time.
&& Me: Oh, I suppose I could think of some questions to ask you. But now that you said that I might as well go first. How old are you exactly. Please tell me you're not some snotty nosed twelve year old or something. Since that's almost half my age.
He said and then sent the message and hoped that the answer to that question would come soon. But he felt like typing another message so he might as well send one.
&& Me: No offense if you are twelve though.(But I really hope you're not.)
He then sent it and returned to petting the now sleeping Brownie.

Jessica grinned and laughed at the reply that showed up when a ding sounded. She grinned and began typing.
JessEEka966: No, I'm not a 12 year old. I'm an 11 year old. She grinned as she sent the first message. Then began another one after a spoonful of cookie dough.
JessEEKa966: Actually I'm 17. My turn now, how old are you
With a satisfied grin she pressed enter and returned to eating cookie dough and looking at the cookie dough wanting cat.

He almost had a heart attack when he read her first answer and then closed his eyes for a moment but when he heard to familiar sound of a new message he opened them. He let out a sigh of relief when he read her second answer. She was seventeen, that was the same age as Brenden and probably the age of the youngest people that he talked to online.
&& Me: God, you almost gave me a heart attack when you said you were eleven. And to answer your question, I'm twenty one.
He typed and then hit enter and wondered what he reaction would be to that. Hopefully she wouldn't spazz out on him or something since that wouldn't be good. He then thought of another question, well actually two questions one of them was really stupid but he was tired so that explained it. Now that he thought about it both questions were kind of stupid.
&& Me: Now that we got that out of the way. You haven't been stalking Brenden have you since a group of girls have been doing that and he's getting very annoyed. Second off, you do know who I am right?
