What am I doing here, was the only thing that occured to Galen when he had entered the nightclub, making his way past the enormous bouncer. "What am I doing here?" he spoke allowed this time, and simply watched the throng of darkened faces, all with wild smiles upon them. Perhaps he had come here to get to know people? No, who in their right mind would come to a club to meet the kind of people Galen usually enjoyed hanging out with. No, he was most certainly not looking for friendship among this wild mass of dancing.
But that was just it. What he was here for, he was not exactly sure. It wasn't like he was a drunken highschooler that thought it might be fun to come and get layed. He had come completely consciously, and edged nervously around the dance floor, careful to catch the eye of no one. He continued considering his reasons for wandering to a place where he did in fact feel like a fish out of water. He had no desire what-so-ever to join the dancing, and simply hung back, drinking his non-alcoholic punch and wondering what had led him to doing something so rashly stupid.

Maddie stepped out from the bathroom in the club, sporting high heels with straps that wrapped around her ankles. She also had on a dress capris with flare at the bottom and a purple, silk tank top with lace on the top above her breasts. The bra she was wearing beneath her tank was a size too small to make her chest look more full.
Maddie had tamed her hair for the night, allowing her brown hair to be down in soft waves and shine in the light. She walked down the hallway and then turned right, reaching the main area of the club. She looked around the room, watching the various bodies move as one and throb with life. She glanced to her left and saw a couple making out, groping each other.
Maddie stepped into the club, feeling the beat of the music vibrate through her feet. She began to walk along the edge, toward the bar. She leaned over, projecting her chest to the bartender. She asked for a diet coke, wishing she could drink, but knew that her ID only said she was 18 [despite the fact that she was indeed, 16]. The bartender told her that it was on the house and winked at her. She winked back and then stood up straight. She took a sip of her drink and spun around, glancing about the room.
Across the room, she saw a rather insecure-looking guy trying to blend in and stay unnoticed. She smiled to herself; he wouldn't pull it off here. Not with these people. Not with her.

Galen didn't swear much but the stream of curses he let off just now was enough to fell an elephant. A busty brunette woman was staring in his direction with a look of determination on her face. "Shit," he said, finishing off the stream, and simply sipping his punch his expression of confusion now replaced by one of slight fear of what was to come.
Time to be a man, Galen, he thought, and straightened up as she approached.

Maddie ignored the other men as she began to walk toward the young man with dark brown hair. She swung her hips a little more, hopefully turning him on. But then she decided to play a little game with him.
Maddie slowed her walking and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. She continued to walk toward the guy, but then - once she reached him - she walked right by him. She took a sip of her diet Coke and then stopped, looking around the room. She glanced at the guy behind her and caught his eye. She smiled warmly at him and then turned her body to face him. She took another sip of her drink.
"You look a little lonely," she observed, tilting her head to the side. She offered him a smile. "Or sad. You okay?"

Galen cleared his throat a little too loudly. "M-me? Oh no, I'm waiting for er... friends, that are coming l-later." He stammered, quite dissapointed in the lie that he had come up with. He anchored his eyes firmly to her own brown ones, to keep them from slipping downward. She seemed to be er... projecting herself towards him.
Galen felt his pals go sweaty, and he clenched his fist so tight he could feel his nails digging into his palm. "Is it just me or is it hot in here?" Galen asked, surprised at how calm and collected his voice came, especially out of his trembling frame. He broke a hand away from his side to wipe a sweaty lock of hair out of his eyes, and just stood, looking like a frightened deer that was somehow tempted by his predator.

[[OOC: Galen asked the wrong question... hhehe -angel face-]]
Maddie watched the guy next to her stammer over his words, probably making up some lousy excuse. She smiled to herself and then looked out on the dance floor. The song the DJ was playing switched songs and it took the dancers only afw moments before changing their moves and once again moving as one. "Would you like me to wait with you?" she asked him, taking her liquid brown eyes off of the others and staring at him.
Maddie coolly held her Coke, bringing it slowly to her lips and taking a sip. She continued to look at Galen and the smirked at his question. Feeling slightly more bold than usual, Maddie stepped closer to him and looked up in his face. "Do I really need to answer that?" she whispered to him. She smiled up at him and felt compelled to do something more. However, she fought the urge and just stared into his eyes.

Galen swallowed, feeling his stomach drop. He gazed down at her, a slightly shocked expression on his sweaty features. He could see every freckle on her pale face, her dazzling smile, angled features, almost seeming as if they had a life of their on. "Um, sure, uh... I suppose that would be fine." He felt his voice trembled and cringed inwardly.
Here was a gorgeous girl, so obviously interested in him, and while he would of jumped at the chance before, now he found himself thinking why me? He pushed his uneasiness down and although slightly queasy, he spoke, blue eyes still wide. "Er, want to dance?" He immediately regretted what he sad, but he looked almost hopefully at her, feeling very manly that he had gotten the guts to dance.

Maddie continued to smile up at Galen still. She stepped closed to him, pressing her body up against his. "I would love to dance," she replied in a low, sexy voice. She stepped back, took a sip of her drink and then placed it on the small table beside them. She looked back at Galen and smiled, sensing his slight uncertainty.
"Come on," Maddie said, grabbing his hand and leading him out to the middle of the dance floor. Despite it being a club, when they reached an open spot, a slow dance began to play. Maddie pulled Galen to close herself, hoping that she wasn't being too dominant.
"I didn't catch your name," she told him, tilting her head to the side.

Galen was startled out of a reverie. He had been gazing at a completely random spot, and his blue eyes had glazed over. He was jolted slightly when the girl spoke to him. He hesitated, wiping his brow again. He tried to relax, sink into the beat of the music and let himself be lost in the flood of activity. Galen stumbled over his words for a moment, muttering some sort of apology for his spaceyness. "I'm Galen Hay," he said, smiling almost guiltily.
He stared around him, looking horrendously awkward, as if he would rather be anywhere than standing that close to a girl. He took a shaky breath and steadied himself slightly. "What's your name?" he managed to asked, through faintly chattering teeth.
Furthermore, he thought, biting his lip, how exactly did one dance at a club? He glanced at other couples dancing with gusto. Hmph, not gonna happen, he said to himself, firmly placing a disgusted look on his face. But perhaps a little part of him wanted to join this club scene, and give up the uncomfortable feelings that had seemed to overtake him as soon as he arrived.

Maddie felt as though Galen was interested in something else besides her - or someone. She let go of Galen, praying that a fast-paced song to hit the crowd soon. Maddie glanced around them, letting her soft curls hit her back as she turned her head from side-to-side. She was about to leave Galen when he asked her a question. She turned to him.
"I'm Maddie," she replied. She smiled and as she did so, an actual dancing song came on. She was about to turn around and rub her body up against Galen, as all the others were doing, but instead she only looked at him.
"Do you still want to dance?" she asked quietly.

He nodded, and sighed. Might as well do this for all it was worth. He tried to sink into the beat of the music, the heavy beat that now vibrated through his entire body. He grinned, swallowing his stomach and wiggling a little bit, sure he looked like a moron. He paused for a moment and sighed, then he allowed himself to be steered to the center of the dance floor. He grinned, and danced, silently hoping he would never see any of the people he saw at the club right now, their shaded faces ominous. He glanced back down at Maddie's chocolate eyes, to see a wild fire burning there. She was a party girl. "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em," he mouthed to himself, and began dancing, litterally as if there was no tomorrow.
He took a heavy swig of his punch, as if he was trying to get drunk off of the non-alcoholic stuff. Somehow it filled him with a wild energy, and he felt a grin split his face. He smiled down at her, biting his lip and wondering just how idiotic he looked. He shrugged inwardly, wondering how a quiet, nice fellow such as himself had ended up at this wild place, at an hour like this, with a a girl like this. Frankly, at the moment he didn't care. Galen felt the beat, feeling his clumsy limbs move with it, wondering if perhaps, he did not look like a complete idiot.

Maddie smiled as she watched Galen dance to the music, almost fitting in with the rest of thr crowd. However, there was only one thing missing between Galen and the rest of the dancers: a girl. Maddie smirked slyly and glanced around them, then settled her brown eyes back on Galen. She winked at him and stepped close to him.
"Let's try this," she said seductively. She turned her body around and looked over her shoulder, backing up to Galen. She pressed her back to Galen's warm, strong body and closed her eyes for a moment. She reached back to grab one of Galen's hands, placed it on her toned stomach and then put her hand on top of his. She then put her other arm in the air, wrapping her fingers lightly around Galen's neck. Maddie closed her eyes again and then began to move her body, swaying with the music and rubbing up against Galen every once and while.

Galen didn't move for a seconds, again with a frightened deer expression on his face. But soon he smoothed it over, and began dancing with her, almost astounded that he was actually enjoying himself. But, there was no doubt about it. A bubble of elation was welling up inside Galen's chest, and not even the worst news right now could puncture it. Perhaps this was not exactly his scene, but he could still manage to enjoy himself. Inside he had always believed he really was something of party animal, and it wasn't just his sister that seemed to find fun in all situations. Perhaps not. What he did know, was that right now, so close to Maddie's slick brown hair, he was quite content.
Minutes passed by quickly, and songs did too. Before Galen knew it, he had been dancing for quite a while, and his black button up shirt was covered in sweat, though, he thought with a satisfied grin, not from being nervous. He moved from the position Maddie had placed him in, and turned to her for a moment. "Want to go outside and get some air?" He motioned to the deck behind the club, which was slightly less loud and smoky.

Maddie loved the feeling of the heat between her body and Galen's body. She closed her eyes as she danced, wishing for more. But then her heart caught in her throat and she opened her eyes. She swallowed, willing the sensation of emotions in her throat to subside. They weren't the normal feelings she got when she wanted to do more than dance with a boy. In fact, she was pretty sure that she'd never had these feelings before; she was sure that they were feelings of a crush.
She spun around to face Galen when she heard him talking to her. She caught his question and thought about it for a moment. Then she nodded, breathing hard from all of the dancing. The rest of the crowd floated around them, almost seeming to know that perhaps something was bubbling and that if they went near, it would burst... and would be no more.
"Yeah," she replied, smiling. "I'd really like that. It's getting a little hot in here."

Galen felt himself take her hand, but had no recollection of telling his limbs to do so. He led her without a word to the deck, which overlooked main street. Cars whizzed by, their headlights casting a glow on the pavement before them. He let go of her hand for a moment, and leaned over the railing, feeling the night air pass gently over his head, just ruffling his hair slightly. He turned to Maddie, smiling thoughtfully. "I'm having a lot of fun right now," he said, grasping her hands again, and gazing into her eyes. "Thanks." His tone was barely more than a whisper, yet it seemed to fill his ears as if he was shouting. He had perhaps never said these words before, yet right now it seemed so right.
He waited, running his eyes along every curve of her slightly reddened face, over her full lips, her bright eyes, how they held so much flame inside of them. He closed his eyes for a moment, as if just checking to see that this wasn't a dream, but when he opened them, he felt a dreamy sort of satisfaction that the girl in front of him had not vanished, and still stood full in all her glory before him, the same look in her eye now that he held in his. Not of blind lust, but of something much deeper.
