"You're welcome," Eden called after the woman had gone with her Red Bull. It was kind of surprising that the bar had them in stock, because the majority of people hated them. There were some people out there who lived on Red Bulls. Eden was one of those people who couldn't stand the taste of them. And anyways, he already acted like he had wings, why waste his money on something that wouldn't even really give him that feeling? Eden filled a glass with another rum- Somehow people were madly in love with those too, for what Eden could not understand- and handed it to the customer, giving her a smile along with it. He wasn't going to say something like 'come again' because that would make her think that he was a regular around these parts of town, it would sound extremely cheesy, and it would also sound flirtatious, and Eden wasn't quite ready for a relationship at the moment. The great thing was that the perfect person for a relationship always seemed to come around when he wasn't ready for it. He usually hated surprises, but when it came to something like that, he figured that he could handle it.
"Aww, what do you MEAN it's not our call?" Eden demanded unhappily. This was fun, and he didn't like having his bubble bursted about it. If he could, which he probably wouldn't, he would come here every night during the summer and serve people beer and alcholol. But Kodi obviously didn't think that was such a fun idea, or else she wouldn't have said something so depressing. Eden was an optimist, especially about things he wanted. He had always believed that somehow he could save up enough money to get it, ask his parents enough times to recieve it, or beg and bargain enough to reach his destination. Maybe being a wannabe bartender wasn't one of the things that he could beg for and get..? "But I wanna be a bartender." Eden pouted, taking a sip of his Coke and then handing a man a glass filled to the top. It almost spilled on the customer, which wouldn't have been good considering the fact that this man was superbig and could probably eat Eden alive. "Surry about that." Eden said quietly, begging the man with his eyes to let it go. The man grumbled as he walked away, taking a very long sip out of his drink. Eden gave a sigh of relief. He bet Rob would have never almost spilled something on that man, if he had been working when the man had come in, that is.

"Nevermind" she said as she continued handing people their beers, shots, and what not. Watching more and more people come and go, kodi didn't even bother to see what time it was, considering she wanted to kinda call her mom to see how she was. Sounds lame, yes but after her parents split up, Kodi grew closer to her mom, but always hated her step-dad. What was one more night, of not calling. She was having fun being a stand in bartender. Looking over at Eden and laughed. "Then be a bartender" she added. A smile on her face as a group of six or seven came walking over wanting different things. Oh god, this was something she couldn't handle at once, but she was going to try..
Handing two of the guys a beer, four of the girls martini's and another kid, not knowing if he was a girl or a boy, his red bull, and watching them leave, Kodi couldn't help to start laughing. It was kinda funny, since well it was the 21st century and people these days, you dont know weither their male or female. After maybe five minutes of it, she started to feel bad. Leaning against the bar to fill up some drunk man's glass, yeah she was short but she couldn't help it, just like the guy couldn't help his eyes. He was probably maybe 24 or something. After filling up the glass, Kodi stood up straight and smiled like nothing happened, but he wasn't leaving. What a perv. Once again she wasn't going to let him bother her, and Kodi kept on doing her 'job'.

Bah, that's right. If Eden wanted to be a bartender for more than one night in a row then he was going to be one. It had always been his dream to become a writer, one who wrote tons of books yet no one ever saw him outside of his house. One who was mysterious and kept you wanting more when it came to his books, and yet kept his people waiting for what they wanted. He had ALWAYS wanted to be a writer, since like, day two and a half when he had tried to write a story on the walls of his mother's kitchen with green crayon, but he couldn't be a bartender writer. That wouldn't work. That wasn't something that was easy to do together, like write lyrics AND be in a band. Those worked together, there really wasn't a way that the two together would not work. But giving people drinks while writing a book of some kind wouldn't work out all that well.
"I don't think I can." Eden said sadly, nodding at a woman who was pointing to her glass. She had gotten... Wait, Eden had to think about this. She had gotten a martini with a bit of lime in it. Getting the martini mix and searching the kitchen.. type place for a lime, Eden glanced over at Kodi and saw her refilling a man's glass. But of course the man was oggling her {If I spelled that right}, not leaving and of course being a pervert. For some strange reason, Eden's first thought was to get the beer squirter that was like the faucet on a sink, and squirt the guy in the face. Then he wouldn't be able to look at Kodi like that. But the thing was, Eden wasn't at all a violent person like that, and he had never before thought something of that sort about a person he didn't at all know. What was happening to him? Maybe it was the extremely bright lights that were shining directly in his face, or the fact that alcohol makes people aggressive... Or maybe it was because Eden-
"You can stop now!" The woman right in front of him shouted. Eden snapped back to attention and realized that he had been zoning out as he was pouring a woman's drink. It was now spilled all over the both of them, and she was screaming at him. "Oh, surry miss. Can I get you a towel?" The woman nodded, obviously too angry to even use her voice at this point, and Eden walked over to where Rob was, still staring at Kodi and the man. There was a clean white towel directly behind Rob, and Eden took it and handed it to the woman. She looked almost like a drenched rat or something, only much too pretty to be rodent-like. "Surry again, You can have your drink free." Eden said, glancing at the man across from Kodi again before smiling at the woman. "Drive safe."

Continuing to fill up more and more people's glasses, Kodi was becoming very annoyed at the man, but payed him no attetion still. God what was up with people these days, i mean even people underage were going to jail for stuff like that. Kodi was thankfully able to defend herself though, having a twin brother, then two step brothers, yeah it was pretty obvious she knew how to do it. Seeing more and more people coming over to her, her dark brown eyes looking over at Eden, who looked like he was kinda having trouble. "and why do you think you can" she asked curiously. I mean anyone could be a bartender right. If a 16 year old could then, so could anyone else. Even a monkey could probably do it. But it wasn't anything she needed to be concerned about.
Looking once more back at Rob, and watching him getting up and working on the other side of the bar, finally he got his butt up. There wasn't anything to complain about, since she agree'd to do this anyway. Some man and his wife coming up to the bar and ordering another beer an martini, Kodi was actually getting sick of looking at alcohol. Looking once more back at Eden and laughing, she handed the people their drink and walked over.. "Having a little problem?" she asked curiously, since well referring to the lady he had spilt the drink on.
Walking back over to where she first was, the same man that had been checking her out, wanting more to drink. "sorry sir i think you've had enough" she said. But of course he didn't think had enough. Or atleast not yet. Getting a more and more sick feeling about it, Kodi just filled it up a little and continued taking people's orders.

Why didn't Eden think he could be a bartender? Well yeah it was rather easy, all you needed in order to be one was a pair of hands, not even a brain technically. Eden could do this day and night, night and day, not taking one second to sleep or drink or anything, if he didn't already have a dream of which he had been aspiring to be for basically all his life. "Well a person can't really be a bartender and a writer all at once, can they?" Eden replied meekly, holding three drinks and giving two to one man and one to another. Looking down at his hand, he saw a red streak that looked kind of shiny. Hm, he seemed to be bleeding. I guess some woman had taken her drink a bit too hard, and they didn't call those things claws for nothing. "Rob get that woman please? She wanted a martini." Eden said, walking over to where Rob had been sitting only a few minutes earlier and getting a damp paper towel. He didn't need a band aid or anything, although if a drink spilled on his hand he wasn't sure if it would hurt or not, but Eden was sure that he could just apply pressure to his hand and then move on with life. As he did this, he continued talking to Kodi.
"No problem, just.. Yeah I got a tad distracted. Are YOU having problems?" Eden asked curiously, glancing over at the guy who had been eyeing Eden's new friend, if you could call her that. Maybe she would catch the hint that Eden was referring to the guy. I guess he didn't even have to speak in code, because the man seemed kind of out of it. How much alcohol had he been given anyways? "She mopped herself up and was out the door so fast I could barely apologize for a trillionth time." Eden added, throwing away the paper towel and returning to his station. Pth, his station. It was weird how easily he found himself calling things his. "Isn't there like, Er. Some kind of limit around here? 'Only six full glasses of alcohol before you have to leave' type of thing?" Eden questioned, glad to see that there was a small break in people wanting drinks. No one was coming over, clammering for a Red Bull or something, but Eden was sure that this would be short lived.

"A writer eh?" she said, shrugging.. "I guess not.. " she added. I mean writers did have a better job than this. Being a bartender was more like a free time kinda thing. Damn now he had Kodi changing her mind, then again she never exactly knew what she wanted to be. at the age of five she wanted to be a denist, at ten, a teacher, and now at 16, a bartender. What would it be tomarrow? Looking down at his hand and noticed it was bleeding, she wanted to help, but he probably didn't want it anyways.. "are you okay" referring to the bleeding hand. I mean getting cut by glass did suck.
Looking once more at the guy who kinda looked like he was about to doze off, or maybe still being the pervert he was, Kodi continued to ignore him and continued to talk to Eden. "I have two step brothers and a twin, i can handle him" she added. Referring to the three boys that were in her life. And it sucked having them there. Well, maybe just one in her life was good enough. Shrugging, she looked once more at the bar, thanking god it had lightened up. Turning her back towards the guy and looking over at eden once more she shrugged.. "I only gave him two" she said, referring to drink. Some men and their beer, after one, they'd pass out. But this guy looked like he was in college, and did alot of drinking, then again he also looked desperate, but Kodi wasn't going to help him any.

Yeah. A writer. It was one of the most creative occupations that Eden could think of when he was younger, but of course he barely knew what being a writer WAS back then. As he got older, he figured it out and began writing things- Anything. From poems to short stories to what seemed long to him because it took him so long just to get them completed, Eden had tried it all. He knew after he published one of his poems that it was his destiny.. Or at least he thought so. Well being a bartender was fun and maybe they got paid a lot. He could do that until he went to college, where he would hopefully major in doing writing stuff. He hadn't really thought about college a whole lot in his lifetime, just the stuff that came afterwards. Finding an occupation, falling in love, having kids, retiring, having to deal with the after college life. It seemed like a lot of fun. "Yeah. A writer. I was always told that I was pretty good at writing when I was younger, and when I got a published poem when I was younger I knew for sure that.. I wanted to write forever." Eden said, stopping towards the end. He had been embarassed because h- Actually he wasn't quite sure why he was embarassed. He was only talking abou this future, and it wasn't even promised that his plans would happen.
"Yeah I'm fine.. Just a small nick." Eden replied with a small smile, going back to where the rum was found. Goodness, these people and their rum prefrences! It seemed like for the past hour or twenty years or howEVER long he had been working at the bar, he had either handed Red Bulls over the counter, or rum. Bah, he couldn't stand either one, and yet he had found himself searching for the two of them in a tiny and quite handy refrigerator [sp?] behind him. Hearing Kodi say something about her family, Eden stopped in his tracks. She had a twin? Oh gosh, he had always wanted a twin! Trust me on this when I say that Eden isn't gay, but since that one time at age six when he had watched 'The Parent Trap' he's always wanted a twin. He would always walk past a mirror after the movie and start talking to himself, trying to seem like he had two personalities stuck inside his one scrawny body.
"You have a twin?" Eden asked over the ruckus, and as he looked over at what had been an empty spot about two seconds ago, he found himself looking straight at an extremely fat woman. Not to be rude or anything but um... If you saw this woman you'd mistake her for a whale who was washed up onshore. She even had the stringy wet looking hair going on. "Can he beat me up?" Pth, who COULDN'T beat Eden up? A small kitten hanging pecuriously from a tree could still somehow manage to kick his small white ass, using only one body part. A little girl, age five, eating ice cream could beat him up and down the street. Something about seventeen inches smaller than him and equally scrawny could make him black and blue for months! Of COURSE Kodi's twin could beat him up. Suddenly as he handed the drink to the whale woman.. Thing.. it occured to Eden what Kodi had just said. She had only given him two. "Well, I gave him two too." Eden said with a petrified look on his face. Uhhh... This can't really be good. Two plus two, PLUS the fact that this drink that he had given the dude had more alcohol due to his clumsiness, equals a very bad thing about to go on. "And one of the ones I gave him had a loooooot of alcohol." Eden glanced over at the guy. Sure Kodi seemed tough, and with her three man encounter every day she probably WAS tough. But had she ever encoutered them under the influence of lots of alcohol?

Listening to Eden's story about being a writer, she found it intresting, but could never do it. She couldn't even write a stupid paper for any of her classes, thats how brain dumb she was. Turning once more back and noticing more and more people crowding around the bar, what was up with people and wanting their stupid drinks. Starting to pour more beer into the glasses and handing it to the crowded people. "I think it'd be cool to writer, except i cant write to save my life." True story. Give her a peice of paper, a stupid topic and 45 minutes, all you would get was maybe a paragraph or two, very pathetic.
Standing there handing someone their drink, and her attetion turning to the dj who had changed the song, to something she never heard of but it sounded cool. Placing the mug on the counter and coming back to reality as she just heard him asking about her having a twin. "yeah. except he lives out west with my real dad" she said. Oh how did she miss them, and especially being at a club without her brother, but getting through it was a first. A small laugh coming through her lips as she heard him ask if Eric could beat him up, it was kinda funny. "He'd only beat you up, if i wanted him to" she said. Her brother was so gentle, he sometimes had a weaks side, for even disney movies. He was also strong in Kodi ever needed him to help her, but at this time she didn't need him.
Her brown eyes looking once more at the guy, who Kodi couldn't believe had four drinks. Two being from her, was still awake and checking her out. It was so gross, she felt like she wanted to just run to the bathroom and just hurl, thats how sickning it was. Looking once more over at Eden and seeing the one woman, Kodi gently moved her finger against her nose, and tried to hold back on the laughing. She didn't want to look like she was being mean, because well. Some people do drink to take her pain away, and well she did look like that was what she was doing. "Well then.. we need to watch him and make sure he doesn't have anymore" she said. I mean she didn't want to continue looking around and seeing his eyes in just one spot. That was just plain gross.

Eden gasped at Kodi's admission. Is that a word? At Kodi admitting that she couldn't write to save her life. That's what I mean. Eden didn't know how he would really survive without writing. It was how he got everything out- all his emotions, happy and sad, all of his anger.. Sometimes when he wrote notes to people he could communicate and say the things he truely needed to better than if he were to say it with his mouth. If Eden had to, he would just rip off his mouth altogether and use a pen and paper for the rest of his life. Okay I'm taking it a bit too far here, but you know now how Eden feels about writing. "Are you kidding? Well we should write together! You can come up with the creative stuff, and I can find a way to write it all out. We'd be like.. Some type of twosome!" Eden didn't want to say couple because, for one thing if he said it he might end up accidentally spitting in thhe older man's drink when he said the "C" part of couple. Also, Eden wasn't sure if Kodi would take him talking about the two of them and using the word couple in the same sentence. After all, they had just found eachother a short while earlier, and some people didn't start liking other people oh so easily like he did.
Eden remembered his third grade teacher telling him that West always meant left, as in the left of the map or the United States or wherever he happened to be standing {Not really}, and from then on, every time someone said something abou the west he always thought 'West... Left.' Some things just stick with people forever, you know that's true too. "West.. As in left.. As in California and Nebraska and all of those places? I wish I lived in the west!" Eden replied, wiping up a spill that he had just created on the ground. He stuck a paper towel on the liquid and watched the paper towel get heavier slowly, the green of the drink coming into view. "Well anyways." Eden continued, balling up the paper towel and throwing it into the trashcan behind him, "I'm sorry that they live so far away. Are your parents divorced or something?" Maybe he shouldn't have asked that. Maybe her mother had actually died recently and Eden had just brought up unhappy memories. Maybe Kodi now hated hi- Why was he being so insecure around her? He was almost always secure, unless in the presence of his parents. They made him break down completely and be something he definately didn't want to be. How could two people do that?
"Well that's nice for you, but possibly not good for me. I guess I'll be staying on your good side, eh?" Eden laughed, but it was barely audible over the hustle and bustle of people accidentally dropping glasses, loud laughter and of course the extremely loud music that was surging through Eden's ribs. Don't you hate it when the music around you is so loud that you can feel it inside of you? I don't know exactly what part of you you can feel it in, because that hasn't happened to me in quite a while, but hopefully you know what I'm saying. Eden glanced over at the guy once more, finding the same look of want in his eyes as he often found in the eyes of annoying jock guys back at his old town. They all wanted one thing, the sexy blonde cheerleader girls in bed with them. Eden truthfully didn't see what those girls had that was wanted so badly. But maybe it was just the fact that Eden wasn't a girl and didn't understand them as well as he should.. Maybe..? "He'll find a way to get more." Eden said carefully, eyeing the guy before recieving a tap on the shoulder. Yet another customer. He was getting a little bit aggrivated with all of these needy people. If it was taking him so long, why didn't they just leave and go to Target or something? I'm sure they have all sorts of wines and beers and stuff there, don't they?

"Dont sound too suprised" she said with a small laugh coming through her lips. It really wasn't her best thing anyways, that was probably why she almost failed oh, writing in elementary. Especially when she had a topic about what she always wanted. And what she wanted was for her mom and dad to get together so her and eric could have a real family, and not exactly be so far apart. Like it would ever happen, even when she wrote it down for santa at the age of four, she never got her wish. damn disney, never trust him, he ruined Kodi's dreams, and he would surely destroy yours too. Getting off that and going back to reality, hearing about them doing a twosome for writing, actualy didnt sound bad. I mean Kodi did sometimes come up with good things to think about, but was never able to put it down on paper. "I think that would be great. Using my brain and your writing talent, we should write books" she added. Okay so she went a little too far with that, but what the heck. It was the smell of alcohol getting to her.
Hearing about her father living out west, she thought for a minute and didn't even bother with the people waiting for their drinks. They could always go to the other side and let Rob serve them, since he wasn't all that busy anyways. "They live in Washington" she said shrugging. God if she could only go visit. But hey it was a little bit closer than before, when they lived in Boston. Maybe it was the whole fact that, her father didn't want to part with his little girl too fast. "And, they never got married. My mom got pregnant with me and eric, my twin, when she was 17" she added. Even that brought back memories, but thats for another time. Maybe talking about her brother and father, would get the pain off her back, which was hopefully good, and Kodi wouldn't have to go back to her dorm and cry her eyes out. She didn't need that now.
Turning around once more to serve the people their drinks, Kodi was starting to get a little worked up and was starting to wonder how long she had been doing it. After a while, the smell of alcohol does get to you, well atleast with kodi it does. Her brown eyes looking once more back at the guy, Kodi was nice enough, sadly to give him a glass of water. Why, she was so stupid and didnt care anymore. Atleast he could always look but couldn't touch, cause then either way he could get caught and go to jail. Maybe kodi should always say the word or something, but it was a nice night, and she didn't feel like talking to the police and explaning that she served people drinks. "Not as long as im looking he wont" she said referring to Eden. Kodi wouldn't let the man drink anymore than he was supposed to. Wasn't the legal limit like .08 or something. Well it looked more like he was over that. A sigh coming through her lips as she continued serving, people who had come once before, god why didn't they just have their way.

Had Eden really sounded all that surprised? Hm, well he hadn't meant to. It was just that Kodi seemed like one of those 'one in a million' kind of girls, one of the ones who wanted to be like nobody and somehow ended up getting what they wanted. Eden couldn't imagine anybody even LOOKING like her, and yet she had a twin. It was a kind of strange thing for Eden to wrap his little head around, which was probably why he had sounded so.. freaked out and or surprised about it. "Surry, it's just that I can't really imagine you as a guy." Eden replied, turning his head this way and that as he focused in on her, trying to somehow make something in his head click on so that he could transform her from a girl to a guy right before his very eyes. Nope, it didn't work though. She still looked exactly like Kodi. "Nope, still can't." Eden added, making his head normal again before putting a green olive in a glass. It seemed to glow in the clubbish lights. You know how some clubs are, their lights are all flourescent and odd colored, the colors that make you sick just thinking about them. This club that Eden was currently in was no different. The one thing he liked about this lights, though, is that it made everything glow. He especially liked to go into the boys bathroom where there were mirrors and make faces at himself. His teeth always shone brightly, his hair getting a greenish tint to it, and his eyes lighting up.
And speaking of bathroom, did Rob ever go? Since Eden had walked through the door, he hadn't seen Rob get from behind the counter once to use the bathroom. And you would think that sitting around all day pouring liquids would tell your brain 'hey, put down that glass and pee.' but I guess the man had an iron bladdar. Eden on the other hand, didn't. As he had to hold it in until he could find a break, this made him slightly aggrivated and he found himself snapping at the people in front of the bar waiting. "Hold on two seconds guy." Eden said viciously, and if you knew him at all you could tell that he was really steamed. He only called people 'guy' when he was pissed off, which showed how much his brain stopped working when he got angry. The best derogative term he could come up with for a man when he was mad was... Guy? Oh smooth. Well the man must have sensed this because he backed off a little and watched Eden from a greater distance as his drink was made.
Hearing what Kodi said over the flow of his bodily fluids, Eden perked up a bit. "Your mum had you guys when she was seventeen? My mum too. Huh, what a strange cooincidence." Eden said, resting a glass on the counter as to not drop it. It seemed like his mother had had major comittment issues or something, because she had gone right along and... Well you know what she did with Eden's dad because Eden is here today to tell you or not tell you about it. It had taken them years to finally get anchored down. But Kodi's parents had NEVER gotten married.. I thought back then people had to get married after having sex. It made them look a little better considering the fact that there wasn't really a way to make them look better. "Washington is kind of far away.. Do you ever visit them or anything?" Eden asked after putting his full attention on pouring a clear liquid into a shiny glass and handing it to a woman standing behind the bar. He would hate to have a twin that pretty much didn't exsist due to being so far away.. But of course he didn't have any realitives to deal with. Eden's parents would be insane to have another one, for risk that it would end up exactly like him. What a letdown.
"Well as long as you're looking, would you mind taking my shift for a second.. I kind of gotta whiz." Oh what a wonderful thing to say to a woman- Nevertheless, Eden felt comfortable enough with her to tell her something like that. And anyways, he would have told a complete and utter stranger at this point just to be relieved. "Really, I'll only be a second just like... Count to seven and I'll be right back." Eden was calling as he walked around the corner to where the bathroom sign was. He wasn't even making sense, he had to go so bad. And you know that it's bad when it affects your brain and activities. Oh gosh, Eden was a mess.. But a mess who made it to the bathroom before he could MAKE a mess.. /:

A small laugh coming through her lips as she placed a couple of shot glasses on the bar and poured the whisky into them. "Were not Identical" she said. Which she kinda wanted, cause it really would've been cool to have an identical twin. Except people would still be able to tell them apart, since well one was a boy and the other was a girl, Unless her brother grew his hair out or Kodi cut her hair. No, it wouldn't look right on either of them. "I couldn't see myself as man either" she said. Looking up at a man at the bar who was looking at her like she was crazy, when in doubt Kodi was crazy at the moment. It was like, who knew what time it was and she didn't take her ADHD medicine and well it was kicking in.
Thinking back on when she said her mother had her at the age of 17, Kodi looked once more back at him. "It weird." she said. Pouring another glass of whisky and mixing it with a coke, Kodi handed it to a woman and looked once around the corner to find still working. Dang, even with help, you would think that he would still talk to them, what an ass.Looking once more over at eden, a smile on her face, the same one she gave the person who had walked off with their drink, and it quickly changed. "actually i dont. My mom wouldn't mind me seeing my dad and brother, but my step-father's a jerk and he wants me to have nothing to do with them" she added. That was pretty much why she hated her step-father, thats why she hated the move to here. Only because he had some grudge against Kodi's father, which she didn't know why. Maybe after they broke up and he found out she was getting married, the true feelings kicked in, or maybe it was the fact Kodi would spend more time there, than at her own home. Who knew, Kodi didn't care.
"Oh no problem" she said, as she looked over at him, like okay why did he just say that. But atleast Kodi wasn't like most girls who would probably go ew and not talk to them ever again, no she had lived with men her whole life, it was a normal thing for her. Turning once more back at the people and continued to serve their drinks, after Eden had left Kodi let out a laugh, that even rob looked back to see if she was okay. Yes now the ADHD was kicking in, and the smell of alcohol wasn't helping at all at this time. Kodi needed fresh air, but she told Eden she would, 'take his shift' until he got back. After maybe five seconds, Kodi was actually sitting there, her fingers tapping on the bar, as some person didn't have any clue as to what they wanted.. "Sir, can you just step aside so other people can get their orders" she asked, but the guy just stood there like a retarded dummy. She was arleady smelling the fresh air, and she just felt like leaving, and go outside for maybe five minutes, yet kodi wasn't going to be mean.

It was good that Kodi couldn't imagine herself as a guy, because if a girl can imagine herself as a guy, with a bunch of arm hair and specific parts that girls really shouldn't have and things of that sort, well then they're a little bit messed up. Even so, Eden had never tried to imagine himself as a girl or something, but now that he thought about it, all he knew was that he wouldn't be a very attractive girl. The kid shuddered to think about him in a miniskirt and having a belly button ring, bow in his jet black hair and making out with some ''hot jock'' on a couch. Bleck, now he DEFINATELY needed a bathroom. "Well that's good to know, because it'd be kind of odd if you could." Eden replied as he threw a paper towel used to dry his washed hands away. If that made sense... As Eden listened to his new friend talk about her step dad not wanting any type of contact with her original family, Eden felt kind of sorry for her. It was always the step dads that all of the girls hated, and they always seemed to be pure evil as the mothers were completely oblivious to the fact they had married a phycopath. Lucky for Eden, he didn't HAVE a step dad, but he had two parents who were just as bad as three step dads put together. His parents were infuriating, under protective, and probably wanted Eden to grow up so he could get off to college already. They knew he was smart, because somehow I guess they had paid a bit of attention to his report cards when he was younger. They stopped paying attention almost completely at grade eight. "Why is it always the evil step fathers? Besides the story of Cinderella, of course, when she had her evil step mother while her father had died. Well anyways, why don't you save up enough cash and then take some type of awesome road trip over to your brother and real dad, and hopefully stay there forever? I've been thinking about doing that too." Eden said with a bright smile, handing a Red Bull over the counter. "Except I don't really know where to go or who to visit. My parents were never really ones to stay in contact with the rest of the family, so I really have no idea WHO I'm related to anymore." And now he was semi- droning on about himself. Every once in a blue he did that, and he knew almost for certain that it annoyed SOMEone out there in the world.
Eden felt a little bad about making Kodi stay and keep track of all of those people, plus the guy who kept checking her out, but Eden had to go. Like, bad. So he pushed his 'I should go back and hold it in. I have a big bladder, don't I?' thoughts out of his mind and went to the boy's loo. Washing his hands once again in hopes of getting some of the blood off of it, he returned to the bar with a smile on his face. That reminded him of those old commertials when the toddlers would suddenly up and leave the room to use the restroom, and when they came back they would be all smiling and stuff all proud.. I think those were the ones with the kids singing 'I'm a big kid now.' Well Eden had been a big kid for many years but had never come back from the loo smiling. He found himself suspicious somtimes... Anyways, glancing over at Kodi as he came back, he found that she was tapping her fingers on the bar counters and kind of neglecting the people asking for drinks. Eden quickly took their orders and began making them as fast as he could without getting yet ANOTHER glass cut. "You can go out and.. Chill outside if you want to." Eden said, catching a bottle of rum as it almost fell off the shelf. He knew how it was to be cramed up inside for a long while, working and not having as much fun as you possibly could. Eden had also been accused of having ADHD when he was younger because he was like a timed bomb about to explode.. 24/7. It drove his teachers and parents mad constantly. But anyways, he kind of figured that maybe Kodi wouldn't mind going outside where it was cooler, where you didn't feel like you were about to get drunk just by breathing in, and where there weren't quite so many people. Plus, the pervert probably wouldn't follow her out there, so she would have a few momens without his eyes searing into her. "Unless you don't want to. I'm sure Rob and I can handle it." Glancing over at where Rob was supposed to be with a grin on his face, he found that Rob wasn't there. Maybe he went to the loo also? "Well I can handle it at least..." Eden said, hoping to goodness that he wasn't getting himself into something.

A small laugh coming through her lips as the guy who had looked so brain dead finally said something. She thought that maybe he'd never been to a club, or knew exactly what alcohol there was. Making him a drink and placing it onto the bar, more and more people started to swarm around. It was getting soo annoying and Kodi really needed a break. Continuing to make the drinks, and not long, the same guy checking her out wanting more. Ignoring him, even though it would piss him off, maybe going outside wasn't the best idea, i mean he could always follow her right?. Turning her attetion back to Eden she smirked. "I've thought about running away, but never had the courage to" she said. God, she was so scared of her step-father, she would love to just lie and say something to get him arrested, but then maybe his son, Kodi's stepbrother and her mom would probably hate her then. Hearing him ask about the whole why step fathers are so evil, it made her laugh. "I dunno. maybe because if they want something, and the step child doesnt get it for them, they go crazy?" she said, of course making up some complete lie. She didn't know exactly what ticked them off, "Or maybe its that, their children listen to them, but their wife's kids dont listen to them, they beat them or something" she added. Okay that sounded more reasonable than her first answer. However it may seem, Kodi's step-father was like, a master sargent gone wrong. Way wrong.
Her brown eyes wondering around the club, the lights starting to become blinding and what not. Getting a little short on the people, Kodi just stood in her spot, just watching the people dance to some weird song. Her mind was defintly out until about maybe five seconds when she spotted Eden coming back. Hearing him saying she could go outside to chill, she looked over at the creep who was sitting there watching her every move and smiling, Kodi shook her head. "I think i'll just stay in here" she said as she poured a glass of water and just sat it next to her. God if she wanted to she'd probably drown herself in it just to get that guy to stop checking her out. Looking once more back at Eden she motioned her head towards the guy "I think that you may need my help anyways" she added. I mean she would love to go and just take a break outside in the fresh air, but she didn't feel like getting hurt, or have anything any creepier going on. A sigh coming through her lips as she ran her hand through her burnette hair.

It was weird how Eden had always thought that all kids thought about running away at least twice in their lifetimes. You know, life got too hard for them and they wanted to bail, but not actually kill themselves or something. Then they start thinking about leaving the house- Maybe staying out in the front yard for a while just to freak their mothers or gaurdians out. Now keep in mind that this is usually when they're under the age of errr.. Fifteen or so. You can't really go anywhere if you're under the age of ten, so you just kind of hide. If it was a lot of fun feeling reckless while hiding under the couch when you were seven, why not actually go out of state and feel REALLY reckless? That would be the second time that people think about it, when they're bummed out about something and their parents aren't helping at all. Then they realize 'huh. I have friends who can drive.' Or the fact that they have thumbs and can hitchhike or something. "Awwe but it's fun. Until of course you see like, posters of your face and the 'have you seen this girl' writting right under it. Plus if you get caught and your parents like, eat you because they're so angry at you." Eden realized that he wasn't at all helping her out any and continued making a few more drinks in silence. He began thinking about where he would stay that night. Sure he could go back up the side of his house, climb into his window and get into bed without a bit of trouble. But he didn't want to do that. He knew that his parents were still in their room bickering their heads off, and he didn't feel like dealing with that. Maybe Eden could spend the night at the park, where he would only have to deal with the annoying fountain and squirrels dropping their nuts on him from the oak tree. Or he could stay at Ivy's house, because now that she was back in town she was an option.
Eden had to figure out where he was going soon, because he was beginning to get a bit tired of all of these desperate faces wanting beers. "I think the second reason is pretty much dead on for most families." Eden replied, looking at the huge clock on the wall. Oh goodness, it was getting late. Maybe he really DIDN'T want to be a bartender, if he got cranky after dealing with all of these people in just a few hours. Glancing over at Kodi, Eden found that she had the same slight annoyed expression on her face as Rob had had before they saved him. Now he was somewhere, abandoning his shift once again and Eden knew that they couldn't leave until he came back. Deep down, Eden knew that Rob probably wouldn't be coming back for a long while. If he wasn't so nice, he would probably wisk Kodi away along with him, leaving the bar unattended and going off somewhere into town. But Eden knew that he couldn't leave most of these people here to get their OWN drinks, especially the guy who was looking at Kodi like she was a piece of meat. Nope, these people couldn't be trusted with alcohol like Kodi and Eden could. That was why they were behind the counter and the rest of them weren't. "If you don't need some type of break by now then there's got to be something wrong with you." Eden joked, setting down a shot glass in front of a customer. "I kind of want to get out of here now and find somewhere to stay, but Rob isn't here and we can't leave all of this alcohol unattended." This was a pretty large problem. The two of them probably wouldn't be able to stay there much longer without biting someone's head off angrily, yet Rob was doing something for his own pleasure somewhere in the building. Pth, maybe he wasn't even IN the building anymore. "This might be a very long night."
