The Club was bouncing with all the chain smokers and underaged teenagers just wanting to be 'in' and 'cool', but tell me this, what is really in and cool, drugs, sex, rock and roll, that whole mess, maybe its stealing a car, having a dance off or a drive by shooting. By the year 2010 or so it may just be as bad, maybe even worse, then again schools such as this one would probably having stupid tests for students to graduate, and all the drop outs would get jobs at Mcdonalds or something like that. It was never fun for a teenager to leave home for a stupid school, such as many. Most of this was what Kodi had been dreaming, her old life back home, with drugs, parties and so fourth. It was all just a memory of having cops at her doorstep every saturday night. Dark colored eyes staring up at the celing, watching the fan going around in circles, you can tell this girl was bored. Hardcore music blaring through her headphones into her ears, it was another night of not being able to sleep, She missed it all, the parties, the cops, alcohol, all that jazz from back home. Hell there was no way she could even go back if she tried, who would she was stay with. Kodi couldn't go all the way back east just to live with her dad and her brother. Sitting up and walking over to her closet, she wanted to do something fun, even if it was walking the park by herself late at night. Grabbing a black halter top, a short skirt, she quickly took off the clothes she was wearing before just to put on the new. Walking over towards the mirror and checking her hair, the whole, typical teenage girl kind of thing, a laugh coming through her lips..
It was Kodi's fourth night at Lakeland High and she felt like that she needed to get out and make something of herself like; meet people or whatever whatever.. Of course her first thought about that was going to probably the park or something but who would be out real late out there, unless you were lost and/or completely stupid.. Her best guess was probably the club.. Wearing a black halter top and skirt,Kodi started to walk down towards the club.. So people say its to dangerous to go out side after dark alone, did she care..Nawh she's seen worse.. Getting a little closer and seeing a pretty long line of course she had to wait..
With time passing by, Kodi was growing tired of watching a bunch of people getting kicked out for fighting, and after about thirty minutes, she was aloud in. The music blaring very loudly, Blair didn't even bother to think, she just headed to the one thing and it had to be the bar. Waiting for the bartender to take her order, she was watching the people from the corner of her eye. They really needed to get the party started and who better to do that, other than Kodi, but she wasn't going to do it alone. Finally when the bartender showed up, she ordered what every girl back home would order, straight tequilla. It always made Kodi more outgoing and ready for action when ever it came through the door

Oh yes, and speaking of coming through the door, who better to arrive through the door at that very moment but Eden, the outrageous weird kid who everyone thought was emo because of his snakebite piericings? Yeah well, I guess Eden just had absolutely perfect timing like that. Well anyways, the reason the teenager was there was because his parents were fighting. Again. It seemed like every time he looked out his window {Which was a whole lot, he loved the scenary outside his window and looked out at it at a constant} his parents were fighting again.. And not like, fist fighting like 'Ooh I'm gonna busta cap' type of thing, but more like 'YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME! I'M STAYING AT MY MOTHER'S HOUSE!' type of thing. You see what I mean?
Well anyways, Eden was sick and tired of hearing this, and no matter how loud he turned up his music in his room, the sound of the mid fourty year olds didn't lessen at all. Maybe it was just the fact that his walls were paper thin..? So he had snuck out his window, not even daring to look at himself in the morror or make sure that his hair looked okay, he just kind of jumped.. And then wandered around town... And well, there he was. At the doorway of The Red Sunset. Looking around, he had no idea what this place was but assumed that it was some kind of teenage club. "Oh goody." Eden said, smiling brightly and walking towards the mi8ddle of the room. What a perfect place to be at, someplace where he could meet new people, dance off his slight frusteration at his parents, and drink it out if all else fails. And trust me, Eden wasn't much for drinking.
Going over to the bar, he searched the little menu thingy, because like I said before, he wasn't much for drinking and ergo didn't have a clue what to get. He was completely fortunate that there were ingredients and things right below the actual name of the drink, or else he would have probably ordered the absolute worst thing for himself. Meh, he figured he might as well stay safe. "One coke please, and hold the ice." Eden said to the bartender lad after the girl next to him ordered. He hoped tha the hadn't confused the poor guy with ordering right after the chick. I mean, maybe he could only handle one order at a time. HIS HEAD WOULD EXPLODE WITH THE CONFUSED-NESS! Eden could practically hear himself taking back the order and sobbing uncontrollably, saying that he didn't mean to make the bartender's head explode. Oh what a silly boy. Looking to his left as he bobbed a little to the Fall Out Boy song playing at full blast, Eden grinned and waved at her. He didn't even care about how stupid a thing it was to do, he just wanted to meet some new people and dance like the complete idiot he sometimes felt he was.

Watching the bartender go from one person to the other, Kodi felt really bad for him, but it was his job and he was the one who picked it. Her brown eyes watching as people came in, got kicked out or just left. Oh how she loved the club scene, it always made her laugh. Watching someone walking in and sitting next to her, a smile was brought to her face. Not like the kind of, 'oh hes so good looking im just gonna flirt my way through this and get drunk', no. It was more like a friendly smile. It was all that she wanted anyways.
Looking once more at the bartender, bringing drinks around to people, it was becoming more and more sadder since well, it looked like he was the only working back there. Looking once more back at the boy and saw him waving, she couldn't help to wave back. Turning the chair completely to the side, that was the best thing about the chairs, they moved. and it made Kodi happy, and looking once more at him, she stuck out a hand. "HI. Im Kodi" she said with a friendly grin, trying to be a nice person she was.Maybe this was her time to shine, and becoming someone's friend, and hopefully just that, since well Kodi wasn't ready for i guess a relationship.Oh well it was a club. and you never know what goes on at those type places anyways. right?

As Eden thought of ways that he could help the guy out without actually taking over his job and thus getting paid to be a bartender, he continued watching the poor man. He was pretty sure that the girl next to him was watching him as well, but for all Eden knew, maybe she was snickering in her head at the poor lad. Maybe she hoped that he would trip over an ice cube pecuriously placed to the right of the man, and then all of his drinks would go flying. How Eden could think that someone who looked so nice could think those thoughts {Woah, confusing} was beyond me. Well it soon passed and before long, she was introducing herself to him. Kodi as in the guy name? As in the never really used for guys living in the 21st century name? Hm. Well Eden wasn't really a name used in the 21st century either, I guess they were both just special that way.
"Hey, I'm Eden." Eden replied, taking the girls hand and shaking it happily. Maybe she would be one of his first friends around here- Well, besides that extremely frisky librarian he had come upon on Saturday. Yeah that was sort of sarcasm, she had been nice but not FRISKY, and even if she did happen to get.. Well you know, she was probably eighty-five years old, maybe older. Eden was glad to come across someone who looked about his age, and didn't look like they were about to stuff him in a trashcan for looking so happy. "Nice to meet 'cha." He added, before glancing back at the bartender. Kudos to him, he hadn't tripped over that ice cube yet. "I think we should help that fella out.. But in order to do that we'd have to take him out, cos he seems to be moving pretty fast." People who happened to be moving fast while doing their jobs like the good people they were, tended to accidentally knock people out. People who were trying to HELP them do their job, but that was alright with Eden because he understood being under pressure while working and well, if your hand ACCIDENTALLY flies out from nowhere and smacks an old lady in the face, he couldn't possibly be responsible for finding her lost dentures. She had chosen to stand there, right?

Kodi swore that she knew someone with that name, wait no it was probably somoene in a stupid magazine that was more than likely thrown somewhere on the floor of her dorm. Oh well, it was better to just meet someone in that manner. Looking once more back at the bartender and feeling more and more sorry for him, except she didnt show it. She never really showed how she felt unless she was upset, but there was always one person to do that. "Its nice to meet you too" she said placing her hand once more back at the bar and looked at the people around them, at the bartender and back at Eden. He was right, they should help the poor man out.
"I believe thats a good idea" she said. But hearing about the taking him out part, Kodi didn't think that well, it was necessary to do that. I mean the man already looked upset enough, and maybe did want someone's help. Anyones. "But i dont think we need to take him out, just yet." she said. "I mean he looks desperate for help" she added looking once more at Eden. I mean c'mon it was worth a shot, and she would have a better excuse to sit around the bar all night. Plus, Kodi always wonered what it would be like to a bartender, when they did all those cool moves with the drink bottles and everything. It amused her, but sadly she was only 16, yet they didnt need to know any of that. I mean hello, she passed as an 18 year old to get into here, or maybe the bouncer outside just liked looking at her, which was very creepy. "C'mon" she said as she tilted her head towards the bartender with a smile on her face.

As Eden looked around at the strangely lit place, he was thinking that it was a pretty fun hangout. It was especially fun to see the people get angry at the gaurds, and then get kicked out. Plus being able to get out of the house, get away from the bickering parents and sometimes drunk grandparents that tended to stick around when Eden didn't want them to come. Eden probably would have thought that a trashcan along with an extremely ally cat was a great hang out at this point, he just needed to get away from his family. Eden continued nodding his head to the current song playing, although he hadn't ever heard the song before he walked into the club. It was an alright song, maybe the band was even worth buying their cd.
"I don't know if the manager would think it's a good idea, but maybe he wont find out." Eden replied, thinking of all of the cartoons he had ever watched in his lifetime. All of the boses and mangers were always bulky, short men who wore strange hats and smoked really fat cigars. Along with those traits, there was another thing that they all seemed to have in common. They were heartless and didn't seem to take any crap from anybody... Except for their mums oO. So if this manager found out that two underaged kids were searving alcholol to needy people while his actual employee sat outside breathing heavily, what do you think he would do to Eden and Kodi? "Well can't you see him flailing like that? If we don't take him out, he'll take US out. I can't deal with another black eye from someone." Eden replied before clamping his left hand over his mouth. Hopefully Kodi wouldn't ask for him to explain where he got the first said black eye from. He didn't want anyone finding out and then calling social security or something weird like that.. He LIKED his house, just not the people in it.
"Right behind you." Eden said with a grin, getting up before she did but not really knowing where to go. What, would they just go behind the counter and tell the guy that they were there to help? No. Would they yell it to him over the counter and hope to goodness that he hears them? Probably not. "Er... Are we going over?" Eden asked, looking over at Kodi. He would if she would, even though that sounded completely wimpy. Back then, it was more like 'The man is the head of the household and the woman always follows the man, he is the brave one.' etc. He was supposed to lead Kodi to the bartender, according to the olden days, but Eden wasn't going to do that. He wasn't even in control of his hair on some days, which is saying something..
OOC. Surry it took me forever, I have no excuse besides being busy ><;

Thinking about it a couple of times in her head, Kodi thinks it wouldn't matter, but really what could an old man who ran a club do to her really? The most he may do is kick them out, i mean if he asked their age she'd lie. Looking once more over to Eden and getting up following him, she was ready to back down. The bartender kinda looked scarier than he did before, maybe it was just the anger inside of him from all the people around. A sigh coming through her lips, she got herself into this, and she was going to get herself out..
"Lets just try and talk to him about helping. If he asks our age just lie" she said, sounding stupid. like some boy would actually listen to her, ha, like anyone would actually listen to her. Finding a easy way to get towards the bar, her dark brown eyes looking back, hoping she didn't lose Eden. She was really starting to get scared now, Kodi didn't bother with the manager, who was probably up in his office asleep. What she was scared about was getting hurt by the bartender, then him trying to find her step father's phone number. Oh how that would be great, then maybe she would be sent to live with her dad. No she'd still have to stick around here and not go pretty much anywhere. "Okay.. how are we gonna do this exactly?" she asked curiously. Sitting onto one of the chairs and looking back, making sure the coast was clear.

The only thing Eden was thinking as Kodi made her way towards the bartender was 'Oh my word, were really going through with this.' Eden and some girl he had known for all of two minutes were about to go and help out some random bartender who seemed far scarier while walking towards him than he had when they were only THINKING about walking towards him. What did he know about her anyways? Maybe she was a criminal, someone who had only lied to Eden so that she could get behind the bar, tie the two men up and then drink all of the rum on the shelf. Eden quickly shook this thought out of his head as he followed her towards the bartender, thinking that it was impossible for her to be a criminal or a rum drinker. The only people who drank rum, anyways, were pirates, and Kodi really didn't look like an 'argg, shiver me timbers' wear an eyepatch and sail the seas kind of girl.
'If he asks our age, just lie'? Not to be a brute or anything, but Eden thought that was horrid advice! He was absolutely horrible at lying, and even if he wasn't he hated doing it. When he was younger, as everyone else under the age of ten did at some point, he had tried out lying to his parents. They always found out that he had lied, and then they punished him severely... Why would he want to do it again now that he could be punished severely by the POLICE or the manager. He couldn't stop thinking abou that manager, even if he might not have been all that mean, or in the building for that matter.
"What do you mean how are we going to do this? We go under the bar, hope to goodness that the lass doesn't knock us out, and then ask him if he could use some help I guess." It sounded so much simpler when Eden said it, more than thinking about it and thus giving himself some type of ulcer. That's what it felt was forming in his stomach, it was probably just nerves. But what was he afraid of? Pretty much nothing. His parents wouldn't really care if he came home with the police holding onto the back of his shirt so he wouldn't run away, and the worst thing that could happen si that the bartender squealed on them, the boss threw the teenagers out in different directions and Eden never got to see this Kodi girl ever again. That's pretty much the worsts thing that could happen, but he hoped to goodness that it wouldn't.. Getting up from one of the barstools where he crouched, Eden crawled under the bar door and popped up on the other side, to the right of the bartender. "Hi there." Eden said lamely, slapping his hand to his head in frusteration. What a little loser, who else would say 'hi there' at a time like the one he was in? My God.

A small laugh coming through her lips as she jumped over the bar, hoping to god that no one would follow her. Running over towards Eden and the bartender, a sigh was coming through her lips, and her stomach started to tie up in knots, which was making the syst hurting. God damn why did she have to be stuck with that, every time she got nervous, it always made her hurt, and yeah.
"smooth one" she whispeared and looked once more at the dark haired bartnender. "We were wondering. You look a little upset, and you look like you need help. so were here to help" she said. Great going, even she made herself sound like a complete idiot. But that was Kodi for you. She waited for the mans answer, or she waited to get hit or something. Looking over at Eden kinda worried, another sigh came through her lips and thought that well maybe, they should get out of there. Kodi had never done anything so stupid and didn't feel like going to juvy. But this girl was actually thinking about backing down, i mean c'mon she never let her step-father stop her from seeing her brother, so she didn't need to. But this man looked bigger than her step-father.
Looking back at the people who were just standing there, very upset because the bartender was having to deal with two teenagers that just randomly jumped into the bar wanting to help. But they could get over it, since well it was illegal to drink and drive anyways. Kodi didn't want to get killed on a night like this, even thought of buying the drink she never got, wasn't sounding to good at the moment. It sounded better back at her dorm, but here, standing in there, screaming people, it was making her feel very weird. Not like, i wanna pass out weird, just get me out of here weird. "maybe we made a mistake" she said speaking to herself, since well it was so loud no one could've possibly heard her.

"Thanks, I try." Eden whispered back, referring to Kodi telling him that saying 'hi there' was smooth basically. He did things like that a lot, but it was usually only when he got nervous or something. And yes he was nervous, although he wasn't sure exactly what about. Like I said, his parents wouldn't care at all if he came home with the police, they would probably just go right back to bickering, leaving him there to go with the police officer where he would probably stay until one of his best buddies saved him. Oh yeah I forgot. All of his best buddies who would surely save him were in his old town.. Around 3,000 miles away from his current state of being. Great.
Maybe to Kodi, what she said to the bartender hadn't sounded all that good but to Eden it sounded fine. It was a lot better than wha the probably would have said. Probably something along the lines of 'You look sort of.. Like you're not doing well.. I mean with your job that is- WAIT! I didn't mean that you suck at your job or anything because you do a wonderful job at it, except for right now when you kind of suck. At it. Yes. I'll help you out, I can do it better.' These things would have probably been said if Eden had been in charge of asking the bartender if he needed help with the drinks. "I'm good at carrying drinks." Eden added after Kodi was done talking, grinning proudly at the lie he had just created. That really WAS a lie, because if he was nervous while carrying a drink, the glass would most probably end up being broken. Or spilled. Or on someone's head. The bartender was looking at the two of them kind of funny, and Eden could imagine him thinking 'who are these sad little creatures, and why are they interrupting my work?' The man was sadly too nice to say that though. Instead he merely asked them what gave them the impression that he had needed help. As it had turned out, he had been working at this same place for over twelve years. "Erm.. You were kind of sweating and stuff." Eden replied, still sounding pretty dumb. Maybe it would be better if Kodi was the mouth of this thing, and Eden was the rest of the stuff, even though he wasn't sure what the other stuff was.

Standing up and rubbing her hands on her skirt, being nervous sucked major, yeah. Listening to Eden speak to the bartender, she tried to think of something to say. "you look short handed and in need of help?" she asked, oh god. She was making more of a fool now, than before. Way to go Kodi, just keep talking like that and you will for sure get kicked out. "Look, can we just help out" she asked, looking back at Eden. It was worth a shot, but he was looking more and more scarier up close and with that look, Kodi was about to forget all of this and just take off out of the club. Another sigh coming through her lips, as her stomach started to tighten up a little more, it was becoming very uncomfortable for her, but she still didn't show emotion towards it.
Looking from the bartender, who's name tag read ROB, and then back to Eden, like is he going to say something or just stand there. One person that was sitting at the bar sounded like he was about to beat the crap out of someone else. Moving out of the way, Kodi was scared that maybe the bartender would rush over to the two men and break it up, or they'd come over the bar and the same thing happen. This was defintly, by far the worst thing Kodi has ever done in her life, and it was defintly about to be karma.

As the bartender continued staring blankly at the two teenagers, Eden's dazzling eyes begged the man to do SOMETHING. I mean, he was making this all the more awkward, and now what used to be a good idea that would surely make the club heroes was turning into a horrible idea which would soon send them flying through the club doors. "You do seem to need help, unless you can grow six legs and arms to help you out some." Eden added to Kodi's comment, making the bartender glare at him. I guess he wasn't one for sarcasm, eh?
Glancing over at the bar, Eden also saw what was about to go down. There seemed to be a fight about to happen, and the bartender called Rob wasn't even doing one thing about it. What the heck was wrong with this lad anyways? It wasn't that the cat had his tounge, it was that the cat had Rob's entire body, thus making him stand there looking off at nowhere. Eden was completely surprised that he hadn't gotten fired for doing this type of thing before. Glancing from Rob to the fight.. To Rob to the fight again, Eden figured that if he could do something, he would try to. Grabbing the large bottle of rum behind Rob and two huge mugs that seemed remotely clean, Eden filled the two to the top with rum and leaned over to the guys. "Care for a bit of rum, fellas?" Eden asked, praying that he wouldn't get smashed to death for even approaching the two men. One stopped glaring at his ''friend'' and glanced over at the meek looking teenager. "It's about time" The man responded, taking the rum in Eden's left hand, while his friend took the rum in his left. Eden gave a sigh of relief and turned to Rob the bartender, his eyebrow raised as if to say 'Told ya I was good at carrying drinks'.

Looking very shocked. I mean Kodi wouldn't even do that herself, guessing she was scared of a group of older men. Oh well. Looking back at the Bartender, who looked like he was giving in. Raising her eyebrow and a smirk on her hand, she laughed. "We'll handle it" she said walking over towards the spray things and grabbed a couple of mugs and filled them full of what everyone was wanting. Handing them to the people as they came and gone, It was actually kinda fun, but the thought of getting kicked out was still going through their minds.
Looking over at Eden, that same smile on her face as more and more people were coming by, the bartender looked like he was happy to have help. There went some of the worry, but whatever. "He better thank us" she called over to Eden, and continued to get the people their drinks. Taking one hand and pushing a couple strands of her redish brown hair back behind her ear, the tightness in her stomach was starting to go away, which was good. Maybe if she kept this up, her ADHD wouldn't come and bother her to where no one could understand her and would actually want to kick her out for being a smart ass.

How lucky this guy must have been to have Kodi and Eden around with him. I mean, imagine where he would be otherwise. I myself imagine people angrily throwing those quite delicious peanuts at him, along with glasses with only a centimeter of foam left in them from their beers, the music stopping abruptly because the DJ left his turn table to figure out what the problem was. This leads to the people who went to the club to dance getting angry, because quite obviously they can't dance now that there isn't any music now can they? Everyone getting madder because they want music, beer, romance possibly? Goodness Rob would probably be black and blue with all of his bruises by the time he got out of the club. But have no fear, two weird teenagers, nervous about talking to Rob and behing kicked out of the club are here!
Eden gave a woman a coke before looking behind him and seeing Rob take a seat on a stool. Strange how he hadn't noticed the stool there before, but I guess it had always been there. Rob looked tired, but happy that he could have a bit of peace for as long as Eden and Kodi would supply it. Eden watched as the people Kodi was searving walked away, seeming slightly unhappy. I could see why, though. When the two of them had come to the other side of the bar, Rob had completely stopped working to glare at them and ask them why they were there in the first place. This lead to people not getting their drinks, which made them mad. Well, now they got their drinks and they were given to them just as Rob would have handed it to them, but the customers were slightly fuming because it had taken so long. You know how some people like their drinks WHEN they want them.
"Hell yeah, I'm talking free entrance for a month plus being able to do this whenever we want to." Eden called over the hustle and bustle of people in front of them. The Panic! At The Disco song that had been playing stopped, and a few more people wandered over to watch the two teenagers fix drinks. They probably wanted drinks too, not just to watch. Speaking of wanting drinks, Eden glanced over at Kodi before making what she had ordered a long time ago: a straight tequilla. If she still wanted it after all this time, that is. Eden side stepped over to her, set the drink down next to her, and then wandered back to where he had been standing before, taking another woman's order.

Looking back once more at Rob, who seemed relieved that he had some help, but then again he kinda deserved it. Continuing to hand people their drinks, of course the people who were there before, and were wondering why two, underage teenagers were serving them drinks, walked away pissed. Oh well, Kodi didn't care now that she had something to do. It did just beat sitting on a stool all night watching people dance, and not thinking of anything to say after five minutes. A couple of people walking over and ordering a couple shots, Kodi placed the small cups onto the bar and placed the alcohol into the cups, watching them leave. And fast.
Looking once more around at the people, god how long did they have to these, but whatever. This was going to be Kodi's new job, even if people hated it. That was once she became legal. Watching Eden once more as he brought over the drink she had ordered, still not feeling in the mood for it, she smiled. "Thanks" she said outloud and looked once more back at Rob, who looked like he was about to fall asleep. Pouring a coke and walking over, handing it to him, a friendly smile on her face as she walked back and continued to serve the people their drinks. "I like that idea" she added, referring to getting in for free, for a month, then doing this. Hell she should be getting paied for the manual labor that she was going through. "But i dont think thats our call" she called over to Eden. I mean it was probably more the manager's call than theirs, and Rob's. Even though that well, he was the bartender. Oh well. If the Manager wasn't around, Kodi would be free to do what ever she wanted.
